1993 FORD MUSTANG LX 5.0 SPECIAL SERVICE PACKAGE SSP EX - TEXAS DEPARTMENT HIGHWAY PATROL. 1993 WAS THE LAST YEAR FOR FORDS FACTORY ( SSP ) MUSTANG # 262 FOR THE TEXAS STATE TROOPERS. ( LABELED M3 262-TDPS 188262 ON DRIVERS DOOR JAM) CAR WAS OPERATED BY A STATE TROOPER IN TYLER TEXAS. The Mustang SSP was essentially a more rugged verison of the 5.0 Mustang,with added features not available to the general public, Available options inculed: Engine, 5.0 L HO V8 with Sequential Multi-Port Injection Forged pistons, roller cam Engine oil cooler 5-speed manual transmission Brakes, power disc front/drum rear with rotor shields Dual exhaust system w/stainless tips Fuel tank capacity-15.4 U.S. gallons (58 L) Heavy duty stabilizer bars, front and rear Full instrumentation with in-dash tachometer 130 and 135 amp internally and externally regulated heavy duty alternators 2 Piece VASCAR speedometer cable Certified calibrated speedometer 0-160 mph Relocated rear deck release Single key locking doors/trunk Reinforced floor pans 262-TDPS is a strong running 5.0L and shifts as it should through the 5-speed Tremec TKO 350 manual transmission with 3:73 gears. We believe the officer who drove this car must have really known how to drive a stick as this car is tight and handles well. Interior (door panels, dash, carpet, headliner, seat) is very good as are the quarter windows and front and rear glass. Equipment: Orginal speed trap Radar-red/blue Code 3 lights - Wig Wam headlights - radio/PA system. Welded subframe connectors, drilled/slotted rotors, DPS factory suspension. This car is the 5.0 interceptor. Has new clutch, new power steering pump, but wines like Ford pumps do. It needs new heater core. I have a new one but have not installed it yet. Also included with purchase of the car is factory hood and factory wheels.On Jul-19-12 at 15:06:44 PDT, seller added the following information: AC blows cold, there are some rock chips on the front bumper and some small scratches and some door dings on the car. 5 Star wheels with about 40% tread left on the tires.
