Vehicle Detail

1951 Buick Super 2 door hardtop. Got this right out of storage. Parked for 12 years. The car seems complete from what I can see but needs complete restoration. I do not see anything missing but I am not the Buick expert so please ask and I will get back to you. The previous owner stated it was drivable when he parked it. I got the straight 8 engine to turn over easily. With gas and spark I have no doubt it would run. I have no time to do so. Just wanted to ensure the engine was not frozen. The clutch appears to engage and the shifter selects gears. Tires do not hold air for long but we will help you get it loaded or I might swap the wheels for some that hold air. I have about 6 wheels here in storage for 50s buicks. The stainless trim looks pretty good. The starting price is worth all the stainless trim. You get the rest of the car for free! I know nothing about these and do not want to make any claims as to condition. I am selling this right out of storage for NO RESERVE, and what comes with that is AS-IS. I have a 100% feedback for selling fair so please make your own decisions as to whether this is the car you want. I am cleaning out cars and parts and need to just move this stuff. I do not have the time to inspect it completely and get it running. If I did, then I would be selling it for a lot more money. The price reflects an as-is car needing restoration. Can store for 30 days or more no problem. Payments must be made on time, deposit and final payment or we move to the back-up bidder. Thanks for understanding. Buyer takes the car as-is in the condition as it sits, with no regrets please. NO RESERVEOn Jul-09-12 at 07:44:26 PDT, seller added the following information: A lot of questions about running condition. I dabble with old cars and parts and would normally take some time to get fuel to the old engine, fire it, bleed the brakes and be able to sell an old car for a lot more money because it runs and drives. I just do not have any time to sort through the car. I am pulling cars and parts out of storage for a friend and we have to get this stuff moved rather quickly. So that is the reason I have not sorted through this car. No other reason. I actually wanted to get some good tires under this car and fire it up and register it for a few months but that is not my task right now. Thank you for understanding this. I think those buyers who know these cars can assess what they have here, and we will let them set the price. We will give up some profit margin to sell it very fair and get the stuff sold quickly. This leaves room for the buyer to do a little work and turn a profit later. There is a packet of old registrations going back a long time and an old pink slip I found in the glovebox. I do have a flatbed and you are welcome to discuss paying me to bring it to you if not too far. Thanks, God Bless. On Jul-10-12 at 10:22:12 PDT, seller added the following information: I must respectfully ask that buyers please stop asking me to go over the car and give a detailed condition report. Not only do I not have the time, but if I say there is a dent here and a rusty spot there, then a buyer will come to pick up the car and say that I forgot to mention the dent over here. You understand my point. By not going there, it puts all the risk of due diligence on the buyer. Some cars I have detailed out the issues if there was time but I do not know this car. I do not know old Buicks. So it is not being sold that way. And for reasons I have already stated, I have decided to sell this car AS-IS so you as the buyers will set the price based on what you think it is worth as it sits. Yes, there may be areas you can't see but if the risk is too great I recommend you do not bid. Just pass on the car and move to the next one. Thank you all for understanding. I am spending 10 hour days sorting through a pile of stainless trim right now that makes the pyramid look like an ant hill.On Jul-13-12 at 09:38:56 PDT, seller added the following information: We need to get stuff sold with no issues and move on. If you are bidding and have less than 5 ebay transactions, please contact me. With a 100% feedback for being ethical, I only had one issue to overcome in 10 years from an ebay buyer making his first purchase. Thanks for understanding.
