This Mazda 626 was used for 8 years for a 10 mile commute to work and local family travel. It was used for 1 year for a 60mile commute and has been used for the last year for a backup car while our others are in the shop or for an occasional long drive along the east coast (Boston to Virginia). It's a mechanically very reliable car. There are some cosmetic issues (bumper scratches, small fender ding, rust on rear wheel well. For 131k at 11 years its a low mileage car. Being a reliable car, but older, its a perfect first car. It looks nice, is reliable, but you're not going to get upset if you get a ding or scrape based on it's age and value. It's easy to drive/judge distances. It has airbags and being a V6 has plenty of pep. It gets great gas mileage.
