Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE This is the third and final time I will be offering this car for sale on ebay. The "buy it now" price has been reduced by $1,400.00. I have decided not to auction it this time and have instead listed it to sell at around the actual price I expect to get for the car. Bidding last time ended with NO SALE at $10,300.00. Make me an offer - you won't find a better srt-4 for under $12,000.00 anywhere! This was the last year for the Neon-based SRT-4, and the only year that the limited production “Orange Blast” paint was available. This car has always been well maintained, garage kept, and has been stored away every winter since ‘06. It has never been abused or butchered with cheap, tasteless modifications. There are a number of bolt-on Performance Parts on the car, but I have retained every factory part that ever came off the car; it could be put back to bone-stock in a long weekend (not that you’d want to). (I was the original corporate lessee in ’05 and bought-out the lease in ’07, as such, I have the “used car” paperwork, but I am the only person to ever drive this car. ) The Car also has NEW (over $500) Sumitomo tires with less than 800 miles on them. I also had a 4 wheel alignment done when the tires were mounted and balanced; I have a dated receipt from the end of April to prove this. The spark plugs were also replaced at this time with new NKG Iridium cold-range spark plugs. (this colder-range plug is optimal for srt-4s with increased boost levels) Since this car was originally ordered as a Chrysler Corporate-lease car and I knew I would probably buy it after the lease was up, I literally checked every box on the order sheet. These vehicles did not have a lot of available factory options, but this one has ALL OF THEM. Factory options include:Orange Blast Pearl Coat PaintKicker "Livin' Loud" Audio System - 6 speakers with amplified 10' subwoofer and 6 disc in-dash CD ChangerRemovable Ash Tray and Cigar LighterPower Sun Roof *Performance modifications include: Mopar Performance “Stage 1” ECU (Oct 2010 - $600) Mopar Performance Cold Air Intake (May 2011 - $350.00) Mopar Performance Exhaust (May 2011 - $460.00) Mopar Performance Cat-delete Down Pipe (May 2011 - $435.00) Mopar Performance Front and Rear Strut Tower Braces (May 2011 - $250.00) Mopar Performance Short-Throw Shifter w/ “Bugger” bushings and OE-style billet aluminum shift knob (2005 - $175.00) Mopar Performance Blow-Off Valve adapter (2005 - $70.00) AGP Wastegate Actuator (Oct 2010 - $165.00) K&N Air Filter (2005 - $45.00) TurboXS High Performance Boost Controller (Oct 2010 - $130.00) Eibach Pro Kit Lowering Springs (Aug 2010 - $200.00) AGP Oil Accumulator (Oct 2010 - $120.00) =an even $3,000 in high quality performance parts not including tax. Many of these parts are barely a year old. This price does not include the value of the aesthetic upgrades, or the price of the brand-new tires. * whenever available, I always opted to spend more money to use genuine Mopar Performance Parts. A lot people install cheap aftermarket parts on these cars and the quality, durability, fit and finish of the "performance parts" they've installed is usually not very good. Aesthetic modifications include: Rear Wing delete / shaved badges / shaved trunk lock cylinder; my father-in-law with 30+ yrs of experience as a body shop technician expertly welded and smoothed the holes that were left when the wing and lock cylinder were removed, and repainted the trunk lid (I have the lock, the wing, and a new, never-used srt-4 badge if you’d like to return to the badges-and-wing look) The trunk-release button on the OEM key fob still opens the trunk, just as it did from the factory. OEM Dodge Neon trunk liner (SRT-4’s came without a trunk liner on the underside of the trunk lid as a means of keeping the MSRP down; it looked ugly and unfinished so I purchased ($92.00) and installed a brand new one from Mopar last Spring) SRT-4 embroidered-logo front floormats (brand new last Fall for $95.00; they’ve spent more time in winter storage than in-use. I still have the originals which are also in decent shape) Color-matched front Dodge emblem (I have an unpainted, factory silver badge if you like the stock look better) Custom-Made clear / color-matched foglight lenses (these enclose the foglights with a clear lens. I also still have the original black plastic bezels) Clear side-marker lights (have originals) Silvered front turn-signal bulbs (they appear silver, but light up amber; this eliminates the “cross-eyed” look of having the amber bulbs when the lights are off) Flaws: The car has never been in any accidents and has no major flaws that detract from its appearance, performance, or value. However, there are a number of very small stone chips in the front fascia and hood, as would be expected with a car of this age / mileage. The most noticeable flaws in the car’s appearance are on two of the factory wheels; they are convex in shape and, as a result, are very susceptible to being damaged if you get too close to a curb. A valet did just that a few years ago; that was the last time I valet parked the car. There are also some surface scratches on the top of the rear passenger interior door panel from when someone smashed the window to steal a book of CDs a number of years ago. The glass was replaced with OEM glass. The minor scratches are hardly noticeable, but should be noted. There is also a single, quarter-inch long tear on the back of the front passenger seat, along with some minor scuffing on the backs of both seats. Again, hardly noticeable, but should be noted. I have all of the original documentation for the car including the window sticker, owner’s manual, a brand new, $90.00 service manual (on a disc). I also have all of the installation instructions / receipts from each of the performance parts on the car and some service records (regular maintenance, like oil changes, was DIY since I had access to a shop with a lift for many years) Terms of Sale: Payment type: Certified funds / Cash Fees: The buyer is responsible for the cost of shipping, taxes, and registering the vehicle in their home state.
