1967 Ford Mustang Convertible The Good-----A 45 year old Mustang Convertible that runs and drives- the car is actually registered and is on the road-289cu 2barrel engine ( c-code 190-200 hp)/automatic transmission ,drum brakes all around with a new master cylinder / 2 wheel cylinders replaced / new spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor, brand new gas tank,sending unit and hardware/ rebuilt carb---- also comes with a spare carb/the engine does not smoke and the engine runs cool /3 speed automatic with shifter on the floor console / tires are decent – the rims are chrome with rust around the lug nut and the outer rim area, these have the add on wire wheel trim pieces but they are are missing the hold down caps - also comes with 4 standard mustang hubcaps (2 are the same and 2 are different) pretty good interior-looks to be original - bucket seats each have a hole or two -rear bench / good fenders, front valence panel /good nose, hood and trunk lid , the rear quarters look good except for one spot on passenger side near door and the car at one time was repainted / the top motor does function and will fold down but needs help when pulling up (a possible bleeding of the hydraulic pumps may fix this) convertible frame looks good/GT flip gas cap The Bad ------ top needs to be replaced(top and pads) as it appears to be the original and is dried out with holes, needs new rug , some small holes in the trunk area easy small weld repair/the rear valance near the right rear lights have some rust holes that need to be patched/ interior rockers have some rust/ radio works barely and is not original / both bumpers are hurting(cheaper to buy new or used ones on Ebay rather than trying to rechrome these),drivers side door mirror loose, horns barely work need replacements , missing mustang emblems on fenders and some chrome trim around front grill,missing one rear ashtray/rear interior panels were painted and the paint is flecking The Ugly ----- drivers side front door needs to be reskinned / passenger side door has some rot and the front part of the rear quarter panel has rot—the frame needs to have two repairs ( the usual rot areas on mustangs) one is where the power steering box attaches to the frame ( with the power assist unit being off the car at this time (in trunk) and near the rear drivers side. The Passenger side front floor is gone and needs to be replaced ( a street sign had been added ) the reason for this area being rotted out is probably because the vent area in the hood cowl leaks water into the car when it rains ( im told its either that the drain plugs in the cowl are clogged from years of sitting or that the seams leak , the dirvers side air vent within the interior is loose.I"ve tried to list everything as honestly as possible please ask any questions at all. The car does need work and is not perfect so please bid accordingly. The car is for sale locally so i reserve the right to end the bidding if it gets sold.
