Very nice stock restoration, starts right up, runs and drives like a early ford V-8 should, stops on a dime and gives you change, '39 transmission doesn't pop out of second, nicest stock early ford flathead I've owned, and I have owned a few in my 77 years on this planet. bought new by a single school teacher in Tucson AZ, spent last 25 years in climate controlled building until I bought it and got it in excellent running and driving condition. just had the car detailed for Concours. time to sell and move on to my next "keeper" buy with confidence and good luck bidding. chuck- (805)235-6081 in San Luis Obispo, CA 93401On Jun-27-12 at 13:29:12 PDT, seller added the following information: This car has been driven very few miles since a complete restoration some years ago. the engine has the big oil pump "lots of oil pressure" very good compression, no smoking engine, doesn't heat up at all, "39 transmission and good clutch make for smooth shifting "synchromesh gears" no pop outs out of gear driving, steering is tight, no shimmy, everything is tight on the car, like it should be after a complete restoration. one re-paint job original color, original glass in good condition. no surprises in this classic.On Jun-27-12 at 13:56:36 PDT, seller added the following information: Did I mention, there is absolutely no rust or even surface rust any where on this car.
