This 2001 is the last year of the Plymouth Prowler; the second Daimler-Chrysler concept car in recent history to make it from the car show circuit to dealerships with much of its original show-stopping flare still intact. There were 695 Orange Prowler's produced in 2001, the only year of this color, along with the Agate interior. The Prowler retains the distinction of being the first and only factory-built hot rod. While purists may scoff at the lack of a V8 engine, this 2850lb all-aluminum roadster is well throttled by a 3.5-liter 24-valve V6, producing 253 horsepower. Approximately 900 pounds of aluminum alloy for the frame and bodypanels. A V-6 and a four-speed automatic transmission are mounted on this rear wheel-drive roadster. The transmission has the AutoStick feature, which allows changing gears manually by tipping the shift lever left or right. This hot rod comes with a manually folding convertible top and a glass rear window with a defogger. Tires are Run-Flats, with the fronts being 17-inch diameter, and the rears 20-inch diameter.
