Vehicle Detail
For sale is my 1968 fastback mustang, which I drove from 1977 to 1982 and it has sit ever since. It needs total restoration to get road- ready. It has a clear title and is an original fastback, which You can read the code in the vin numbers. It has the fold down backseat and both back seat covers are good. I did do some button-tuffing on the top of the fold down and also on the roof. The back fiber glass side panels do have some cracks. Vent windows, side windows, and back glass are all good, but the windshield is cracked. The car did run when I parked it in 1982, but I can't say it runs now, but do strongly suggest before trying to start it that whoever buys it, take apart the 302, clean it, and totally check it out. The car no longer has the transmission or the drive shaft. It has the clutch pedal, but no clutch linkage. The car needs all the floor pans, front and back. The front seat covers will need to be replaced, as well as the carpet. The console needs some work and it does need a new dash pad as this one is shot. Torque boxes in rear are ok, but both torque boxes in front should be replaced. Both shock towers in front seem good as I can't see any holes rusted through. The front frame rail on driver side has a little rust on the inside, but fine on the outside. The front frame rail on the passenger side has a hole rusted through on the inside and some rust on the outside. Other than that, I'd say the frame rails are ok .Please check out all my photos as I tried to show as much as I could to reference certain areas of the car. The door jams look good. I don't see any holes rusted through. The inside of the trunk looks ok. Keep in mind there is some rust on this car. This car has 1967 steel styled wheels, but the tires are dry rotted. I do have the passenger front blinker housing, bulbs, lenses and the sun visors which I will send in the trunk. This is a restoration car. With work it will be a nice ride for someone as it was for me 35 years ago. Any questions feel free to contact me .Buyer is responsible for pick-up or shipping.
