Vehicle Detail

Up for grabs is my 1979 international scout. Scout was a complete frame off restoration about 5-6 years ago. This scout has been modified To be an awesome street and off road rig. It performs very well as both. I will try to list as much as I know about it and be as honest as i can Feel free to ask any questions you have before bidding. - Well built international 392 engine. heads shaved, comp cam, headers, electronic dist., carter 4 barrel carb, engine was completly rebuilt with everything new aprox. 15,000 miles ago and runs real strong way stronger than any 345. running around 10:1 comp. It also has full dual exhaust. - T19 4 speed transmission has heavy duty 12" clutch with new seals in trans - Dana 300 transfercase recently resealed -Dana 44 front axle, disc brakes, custom steering, 3.73 gears with lock right locker front diff cover guard braided stainless brake lines. -Dana 44 rear axle 3.73 gears, factory limited slip, disc brakes, recentl installed new bearings and sdeals. -Spring over axle lift done, front axle cut for proper caster, shackle reversal done on front. This lift is awesome and it has better road manners than a stock scout hands down. Truck rides and steers better than when it was new. -The boby of this scout is super solid. The undercarrage is exceptionally clean there is no rust in any of the body mounts. There is some rust in the rockers, and the drivers rear quarter. The floors are original and in good shape with very light rust on drivers, no holes. No rust in windshild frame or cowl. The paint is pretty good could use a polish there are a few dingd and dents and sctratches from use. -Has the SS II conversion with fiberglass inserts. Full soft top and soft doors, the top and doors are in usable condition and keep out the elements but some of the zippers no longer work and the door plastic is in poor shape. I do have a set of realy solid doors. - Custom bumpers front and rear front has a warn 6000 lb winch on it which works great. Rear has a heavy duty rear tire carrier. -Has onboarb air the rar bumper is the tank. This system actually works very well. -Has custom front and rear drive shafts with constant velocities on both -Roll cage i have the front part as well but never installed it. -35 inch mud king tires they have descent tread but have some dry rot - radio does not work I think that about covers it. Again this a well built rig that was built to drive to the trails. It has seen more pavement than off road. Truck runs and drives excellent with power to spare. I recently took on a 250 mile camping trip and it performed excellent. If you have any questions or would like to view please feel free to give me a call 616-218-4789. This is not a show truck but it does look sweet.
