Up for sale is a rare one year only 1969 Porsche 912 Long Wheel base Coupe. This car was in immaculate condition, running and driving perfectly.The car was originally red with the rare 5 speed box.The car has had 2 prior owners, has it's original Black CA plates, has spent it's entire life in sunny Southern California.The vehicle has never had any rust or rust repairs of any sort. Painted and chromed surfaces are mirror-like. Dust and dirt are banned, and materials used are correct and superbly fitted. The one word description for #1 cars is "concours."Vehicle Condition 2Vehicle Condition 3Vehicle Condition 4 The left bank carburetor flash fire was immediately put out using a baking soda fire extinguisher,as shown in pictures below.no water was used at all, so no further damage was caused..The damage is limited to the rear deck lid paint, the grille is damaged but I managed to obtain a perfect 69 grille which comes with the car.Part of the rear fenders and the rear section will need to be painted, I have an estimate of $ 975- to do the paint correctly and to match the rest of the vehicle and includes the fitting of a new rear screen rubber.The interior is perfect as before, seats and carpets and headliner are all as new with no smoke damage, the dash is weak and has a cover, nothing else was damaged.The fire lasted less than 2 minutes, no glass was cracked or trim damaged. http://porsche912aftersmallfire.shutterfly.com/ The body parts will need to be painted as needed, the new grille installed and the rear electrics sorted.The engine will need to be checked and the left carburetor will need to be rebuilt.
