I have up for auction a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 SS/T. The truck is in near immaculate condition. The paint is very good. The body is straight. The seats are perfect. All lights and instruments work as they should. Truck has power locks, power windows, power mirrors, power seats, tilt wheel, cruise control, AM/FM/CD Player with USB Charger, power steering, power brakes, electric compass and outside temperature readings, cold A/C, Hot Heater. Everything on this truck works as it should. It also has the factory driving lights. Tires have about 95% tread life left on them. Truck has a current inspection sticker, and all glass is good. The truck runs and drives as it should. Below are some specs pulled from the internet. If you have any questions, please ask before bidding. This truck is sold "as is, where is". There is no warranty expressed or implied. Also, this vehicle is listed locally, and if sold, the auction will end at that time. Thanks for looking, and happy bidding. ***** The issues reported through the vehicle history report are non-issues. I do have a clean and clear Mississippi title on this truck. There are absolutely no leins on it. Secondly, this truck was titled in a FEMA related disaster area prior to a disaster due to Mississippi being declared a disaster area after Hurricane Katrina. To my knowledge it has never sustained any storm damage. This truck came from North Mississippi. It has only been on the coast for about a year. As for the "Below Average" declaration, I challenge anyone to find a nicer 1997 Dodge Ram. I'm sure they are out there, but they won't be easy to find! I just wanted to clear this up. Thanks! ***** I would like to add two notes to the vehicle description. 1st. The odometer reading may not be exact due to usage prior to sale. I drove it to Billy Bowlegs in Destin Fl. and back to Ms. today, (About 200+ miles each way). 2nd. The interior is perfect with the exception of the upper dash, toward the windshield. A Brief History/Overview: The Ram SS/T evolved from Dodge's success with the special edition Indy Ram, the official truck for the 1996 Indianapolis 500 that was produced in a limited run. "The Ram's design gave us a great opportunity to take the truck in a sportier direction," said Dodge General Manager Ray Fisher. "Its bold, in-your-face design already had a sporty demeanor. So by tuning the 5.9 engine, adding the exhaust modifications and the other exterior changes, we created a unique street version of our very successful Ram." The Dodge Ram SS/T (Super Sport Truck) was introduced in 1997 and produced thru 1998. ~ Drive Train o The Ram SS/T had a 5.9-liter, V-8 engine in both 1997 and 1998. In 1997, the 5.9-liter produced 235 horsepower at 4,000 rpm and 330 ft.-lbs. of torque at 3,000 rpm. The engine received a boost in 1998 to 245 horsepower at 4,000 rpm and 335 ft.-lbs. of torque at 3,200 rpm. The SS/T had only one available transmission: a four-speed automatic. ~ Performance o Being a sport-truck meant that Dodge tuned the SS/T for high-performance. The 1997 SS/T Ram accelerated from 0 to 60 mph in nine seconds and slowed from 60 to 0 mph in 148 feet. In 1998 the SS/T performed a little better, accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 8.8 seconds, but the braking distance increased 1 foot to 149 feet. ~ Interior o The 1997 and 1998 Ram SS/T had 40.2 inches of front headroom, 65.6 inches of front hip room, 66 inches of front shoulder room and 41 inches of front legroom. It also had seating for up to three people. ~ Exterior o The exterior dimensions of the SS/T remained the same between 1997 and 1998, with exception of the curb weight. The SS/T was 204.1 inches long, 79.4 inches wide, 71.9 inches high. It had a wheelbase of 118.7 inches and 7.6 inches of ground clearance. The 1997 had a curb weight of 4,216 lbs., while the 1998 was 4,242 lbs. On Jun-06-12 at 20:45:59 PDT, seller added the following information: - Please note the medium size dents in the rear bumper. There is one on each side of the tag. They were there when I purchased the truck, and actually were painted over in nice shiney black prior to my purchase. The shop that painted the truck even put their name on the bumper. I have no idea why they did not fix or replace bumper, but they didn't. I just wanted to make sure that any bidders noticed that prior to bidding. Those are the only "dents" on the truck.
