1974 BMW 2002Odometer is showing 60,611. Considering the year of this car, as well as the 5-Digit odometer, total actual miles are unverifiedThis "Beemer" is rough around the edges, but has great potential!!It does run, but is showing a fuel leak around the carburetor area. It would not be hard to fix for the skilled amateur mechanic. I am not interested in putting any money into this vehicle and am presenting it for purchase to the project-minded/fixer-upper type, or someone who wants a good foundation 2002 from which to restore their dream classic of this model and related years.The condition of the exterior and interior is fairly self explanatory, as seen in the pictures. The body paneling, doors, trunk lid, engine hood all have maintained straight and solid alignment integrity, as well as opening and closing capabilities. Besides a lot of the side trim pieces, most everything else is predominately present and intact; ie: lights, lens, bumpers, glass. All glass is present and uncracked.The best attributes about this car are its all original paint, with the obvious surface discoloration, and its rust-free condition minus any body rot. It does have surface rust on the rear trunk lid, as shown. Other than that, this vehicle presents excellent body, chassis, frame and shocktowers (located in the trunk and inner fenders), which are usually rusted from the inside out on cars from the East and other wet climates; but not this car.The fact that this "Beemer" has automatic transmission is a rarity in itself.As to be expected, most of the weatherstripping and related rubber components are in need of renewing and replacement, which would obviously be accomplished during a complete restoration. If a complete restoration is not intended, then I honestly believe a good running daily driver could be created out of this little charmer without a major outlay of resources. Another approach would be to focus on the basics of getting it running solid, which it is currently close to being, and then at one's own pace, put energy into the car over time to improve it cosmetically as needed or desired.What you see is what you get: a very popular and much sought after 2002 model BMW.
