We have up for auction a rare 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 powered by the legendary 12 valve cummins turbo diesel engine, backed by a smooth shifting automatic transmission that shifts perfect, pulls overdrive excellent. This one is also unique becasue it is a quad cab. If you know Dodges this is a rare combo to find! It is the last year the 12 valve was availble and the first year with the quad cab and newer dash/interior. This truck was in a accident and has major damage on the drivers side bedside. It also broke the rear window. How it didn't hit the cab puzzles me. We bought the truck from the insurance auction and it will come with a salvage title due to the damages in the pics. This is exactly how we got it, minus us cleaning it. It was american family insurance that owned the truck before us. I have drove the truck, it runs and drives well, goes down the road straight, has plenty power. The truck's steering is lose, I'd imagaine it needs a track bar like most of the dodges from this era. It also pulls to the left under braking, like it's not grabbing the passenger tire. The a/c does not blow cold either. Also, the locks only unlock, they don't lock with the power button. Those are the main things I noticed about the truck besides body work that needs attention. This is a solid truck overall and rust free! Throw a bed/flatbed or new bedside on it, do a little maintiance and you'll have a really nice truck! There also is a tear in the drivers seat. It has 3.55 gears and dana 70 rear. We are a small dealership 40 miles north of SLC Utah, dealer number 7397.
