We utilize all modern suspension components along with a state of the art wiring harness. Here is a quick list of features:Ford small block V8 -- 300 + hpTremec 5 spd Custom Ford 9" rearAdjustable coil-over suspension -- all around4 Wheel power discs.Aluminum radiatorStainless gas tankDual Flow Master mufflers -- with duals cats (just in case for emissions)Real knock off wire wheelsPower windows This car was built in 2004 at a company called Great Lakes Replicas in Michigan. I purchased the car from the 2nd owner who had the car rebuilt and updated in 2009 at Great Lakes Replicas (the company that originally built the car). If I remember correctly the car was originally the Sebring 5000 and was updated to the Sebring MX which included coil-over suspension and 4 wheel disc brakes. He also had a custom stainless gas tank and the gearing in the rear end changed to a lower ratio (better for highway cruising) and an aluminum radiator. At the time I purchased the car, I spoke with Terry at G.L.R. and he told me the car was basically completely rebuilt. Here was the "blurb" from the owner that we purchased the car from regarding the 2009 rebuild: In May, 2009 the car was upgraded for $12, 108 to include Front suspension: upper control arm upgrade, lower control arm upgrade, 11" disc brake upgrade, new rack and pinion Drive train: Tremac TKO 500 w/hydo clutch, drive shaft Rear suspension: 9" Ford rear end w/308 gear/disc, C/moly adjustable control arms, Fox body brackets Shocks: Rear coil overs/brackets package, front coil over package Gas tank and gauge, throttle cable: $4908For maintenance -- oil change, etc, I take this car to a local shop that specializes in high-end cars and classic vehicles and they have told me many times how impressed they were with the quality of this car.Now for the good stuff. . ..How does she drive? It's a difficult thing to describe the sensation of an extremely powerful vehicle that totally connects you to the road. In a sentence. . ..this is the most exhilarating driving experience I have ever enjoyed. With over 300 hp in a fiberglass vehicle that weighs about 2000 lbs. . .fast doesn't really do it justice. But it's more than just speed and acceleration it's the sound and vibration, the feel. You can't help but grin from ear to ear. The sound this car makes is perfect - it's loud and powerful sound, but not obnoxious -- just the right tone. If your considering this car -- be prepared for the attention it gets. Everybody checks it out and want to know what's under the hood, etc. Here is a link to more pictures on photobucket - photobucket.com/Austin_healey_sebring As you can see from the pics, this is a marvelous car is great condition. There is well over $30K invested in this vehicle. I reserve the right to end this auction anytime, due the the car being for sale locally.
