Vehicle Detail

This is a 1978 911SC Targa Converted to a STEEL Turbo Cabriolet. Handles, brakes fast and is extremely powerful. Support was added for strength in the rocker panels and a complete cabriolet top from a donor car was purchased. This car is a real head turner, FAST and extremely reliable. 383 stroker , 440 Rear Wheel Horse Power. Custom Dyno Tune, EFI, 930 transaxle, 964 and 993 brakes suspension, fuel system, lighting, interior all redone, Really cool car, rust free, with fresh white paint in 2008 and lots more goodies, both Porsche and GM-friendly. 136k kms on the clock , (approximates 85k miles) 5k on the complete conversion, 1,500 miles on FRESH rebuild by JA Performance Engines of Lynbrook. The car was built right. It was completed in 2009. I also have 20k + in receipts for the build. . Car is very tight, suspension, brakes, engine, etc all redone. The top seals very nicely. All the conversion entailed was removing targa top by unbolting it and bolting on a complete convertible top assembly from a Carbio car. It has a custom aftermarket heater core/ac condenser in the trunk for heat utilizing the factory vents and controls Accel DFI with Accel Wideband Controller Link to album for pictures and videos. http://photobucket.com/porche930Conversion Engine – Fresh Build *383, 40 over, 2 bolt with splayed caps, all ARP bolts *Custom oil pan and pick up to move sump to rear of car *Eagle Forged Crank, H beam Rods, Probe Forged Pistons *1 Piece rear main seal *Performance main, rod and cam bearings *Internally balanced 10.4:1 compression * Comp Cams 12-771-8 Xtreme Energy Camshaft Mech. Not a 10 out of 10 show car. There are some chips about 1-2 inches long on the door edges caused by door contacting the body due to the super stiff suspension and generous engine torque. One of the seats has a 1/2” long tear in the seat. There are a few small chips. Please only car if you are seriously interested. I am open to helping the buyer with shipping the car. I will not pay for shipping but will assist in timing pick up, etc. On Jun-04-12 at 17:48:59 PDT, seller added the following information:Hello all - I had a few requests for photos of the tires and rocker panel reinforcements. I added them to the photobucket link. There is also a picture of the engine before that has a Rod Simpson adapter plate on it. I replaced this with a Kennedy Engineering adapter plate and flywheel because it was double the thickness of the Rod Simpson. The flywheel had a slight chatter on take off before, now it's nice and smooth. I also changed the coil to a newer style that is mounted by the MSD box. The car also comes with a new Tonneau in the leather bag. I'm not sure if it's original Porsche or aftermarket but here is a link to aftermarket. http://www.gahh.com/product_info.php?products_id=327 3 of the tires are 7/32nd's of an inch and the 4th is 8/32nd's. There are pictures of me measuring them as well. Brand new is 10/32nd's Tire Size- 295/30/18 Rears 225/40/18 Front's Feel free to ask if you have any questions about the car.On Jun-04-12 at 18:04:58 PDT, seller added the following information:I forgot to answer the last question about the paint. There are some nicks, 1 ding. The paint is an 8 out of 10 due to these imperfections. Don't get me wrong, the car looks awesome but not showroom. It looks like an awesome driver that you'll still be afraid to scratch or park too close to anyone. On Jun-08-12 at 12:43:48 PDT, seller added the following information: This is a wide body car. On Jun-09-12 at 18:15:30 PDT, seller added the following information: I added the Dyno print out from the company that dyno'd the car. The car has power windowsRear seats No flex from body The tune was conservative. The tuner said we could have made another 30 horsepower. I wanted the car to be able to use premium pump gas and not to worry about detonation. A the engine it's making 518hp.The cam does not foul plugs. It is a street car and tuned for street driving. I was told Max RPM is 7,000 rpm's but I would never let it go that high. ThanksJoe
