You are bidding on a 1969 Opel Gt that is a project vehicle. The engine is a 1.9 litre engine with a 4 speed transmission.The car is presently in epoxy primer and ready for block sanding except for two rust holes on the drivers side which I haven't gotten to yet. This car is NOT an eastern rust car that has had years of driving in a salt bath in an area such as Detriot where they put salt on the roads all winter. The rust holes that are there were caused by road dirt being thrown up on to a spot between the fender and a splash shield and sitting there. There were only 4 spots of rust on the car and I fixed two of them. The rust that I fixed was 2 holes about the size of a dixie cup bottom. I welded new metal in and finished with fiberglass and then primer. The bottom of the car is susrface rust only (no pitting or holes), as the car spent time in Arizona and Colorado most of its life. The interior needs to be redone as you can see from the picture of the bucket seat. I have 30 years experience doing body and paint work so I know enough to save all interior and exterior parts to be used as patterns. When I bought the car it had a rod through the block so I bought another gt and removed the engine and transmission from that one and numerous other parts I thought I might need to fix this one.
