1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass W-31 Tribute I was told this car was a true W-31 Cutlass when I bought it, but I am just not sure if it is or not. You Oldsmobile guys out there would be able to tell the difference. I have researched it over and over, and cannot come up with a conclusion either way. If it's not, I don't want to say for sure that it is. Either way the car is show quality. The paint & body is STELLAR. Straight as an arrow, very very shiny base coat/clear coat paint. Paint color is rally red (yes, it appears to be an orange color, but Olds calls it rally red). The car is totally rust free. The only rust it HAD was in the trunk floor, and it was minor pin holes, so the trunk floor pan has been replaced. The rest of the car has ZERO bondo. The paint job alone is half the price of the car. Front & rear bumpers are brand new. Original mint interior, console w/bucket seats, tilt wheel, tick tock tach, aftermarket power locks located under door handle pad (kinda cool). Cowl tag reads as: 33687. Numbers matching 350 rebuilt motor with aftermarket aluminum intake. Q jet carb, W-31 cam, headers, rebuilt 350 turbo trans, new radiator w/electric fans. I have the original 6 pedal fan and new clutch. 10 bolt posi rear end w/sway bar and boxed control arms. New dual exhaust with trumpet tail tips coming out of the rear bumper w/cut outs. All new seals & rubbers. New chrome hood pins. New emblems. Wheels & tires are off of a 1987 442, but I have the original 14" tires & wheels that go with it. They would have to be placed inside the car for shipping. Everything works on the car, even the trunk light as well as every other light. This is not a race car, but runs very respectible. Trans shifts hard when getting on it. Very reliable, you could drive it every day or across country without issue. This car was put together right. This car is ready for summer cruising, car shows, etc. This is a real head-turner! I have a half gallon of the base coat the body shop put on the car if you should need it down the road. The paint was NOT cheap for this car! Nothing spared! Even if this car is not a true W-31, it is sure worth every PENNY of what I am asking.
