This vehicle was originally sold in california and somewhere along the way it has made it's way to the east coast. I bought it about a year ago and I bought it not running. I pulled the engine out and it had the timing belt tensioner bolt broken off in the block. So I purchased a 92 3000GT SL with a rebuilt motor and swapped it in. Before it was put in I inspected the timing belt, and actually took it off. I followed the shop manual to set the timing marks and did the best that I could. But I think I may have been off a tooth. Because it does not start. All the lights and signals work but when you go to start it cranks too easily which to me means that I am off by a tooth or so on the timing. I don't have time anymore to mess with it so I am listing it for sale. The paint is good, and doesn't show any rust but throughout the car the clearcoat is peeling in places. I took a bunch of pictures and hope that they will do all the talking. The one thing I do know is that it will need the slave cylinder to be bled. I thought I did it right but the last time I pushed the clutch pewdal in it didn't come back out. And the other thing is it will need a new windshield because there is a crack in it. The CAR is being sold as is, where is, with no warranty expressed or implied. What you see is what you get. and will need to be towed to its new home. The car is located in White Haven, PA and I am working in Frederick, MD. So I will only be available on the weekends to sell the car. I may be available to transfer the vehicle after work during the week but it is very hard for me since i work like 11 hour days and its a 3 hour drive each way. I need to have an immediate nonrefundable deposit of $200 within the first 48 hours of the auction's end. You could easily buy this car and part it out and get over $2500 in parts. I would really love to see this car stay in one piece and just have someone with a little bit more time fix her up. It has the glass headlights that are shown, which alone go for like $500+. I might be able to Tow it to you for the right price, but please let me contact me before the last day of the auction to make arrangements.
