1968 California, All Original PORSCHE 912 Great Features: Two owner car (Original owner owned it til February THIS year) ALL records and documentation since day it was bought off the Porsche lot in California. (Every receipt for everything kept in 3 inch binder) The car has been in California its whole life. Original tool kit, all books, all manuals and even have the purchase agreement papers from day it was bought. Car, Motor and everything original. Engine: Runs Perfect Carbs JUST Rebuilt to perfection for smooth perfect response Have all the history of the motor. Motor has had two complete overhauls in its life. (all records of rebuilds) Great power and Great throttle Response Is there RUST? (The question the Enthusiasts will ask) There is some. BUT not under the car or in any normal places. The Rust happened under the front (mostly passenger) FLOOR MAT. The rubber around the back window IS original and it has a small area at the bottom of the window that let rain in. It leaked into the car and went under the floor mats causing some rust under the floor mats. There is one area in the passenger side where it did make a SMALL hole. (see in picture) As you can see from pictures, there is no rust under the car or in the engine compartment or by the battery in the front. NO rust under the doors. (as seen in pics) It is not a TOTAL rust free car, just has some in an odd place. It IS a SOLID car. Paint: The car was repainted last in 1984 (have receipt) It DOES have oxidation and is cracking in some areas Is it pretty from a distance, yes. But up close, its old, cracked and obviously needs new paint. (The car was originally burgendy) Interior: NEAR Mint interior. This is where this car shines. Its motor, originality and interior as just fantastic! Dash has no cracks Door panels look great. Seats and headliner are in fantastic shape As you can see by the pics, the interior is quite nice. Final thoughts: The original owner owned the car til this year. Its a great reliable, original, solid and fun car. The hundreds of pages of history/receipts to this car are fascinating. As you go thru the receipts you notice that the original owner (A Doctor) made sure EVERYthing on this car was ALWAYS perfect for the entire 43 years of ownership. There are receipts for bills like "fix slight rattle in door". He was a VERY Meticulous owner that really loved this car. This California Car will make its new owner happy with its deep growl and unsuspecting power these little cars have. Great for a collector or someone who wants a daily driver. Motor rebuilt at 125k, Carb Rebuild and service was last week. Has the rubber and glass been done...... Yes, All but the rear window rubber. Is the paint shiny....... In some areas, but the pictures on ebay look better then it is. It IS cracked in areas and sun faded on hood, roof ect. It Needs Paint. Is the car rusted anywhere....... As I said in discription, Yes, under the floor mats. Everywhere else is fine. Does the car really have every reciept since new..... Yes it does. The original owner kept this car running and driving perfect thru the years. Will I ship the car overseas..... Yes, I can. I have done that before. I would send the books and title to you in the mail and then the shipper would send your car. If you have shipped a car before overseas....then you know I have to send it with very little gas and nothing in the car so it goes thru US customs faster. Would this car make a long road trip..... Yes. This car drives fantastic.
