1930 Ford Model A - Very Original With Beautifully Restored Components MUST SEE! A Run Down Of The Basics Make: Ford Model: Model A Year: 1930 Interior: Brown Exterior: Beige/Tan & Black Body Style: 2 Door Coupe Title: Clear The Life Of The Vehicle This beauty was actually purchased here on eBay in 2004 from a highly respected vintage car dealer. The car was purchased for $16,000 and was then shipped in an enclosed trailer here to Louisville, Ky. The car arrived in very nice shape overall and we were really impressed with the overall look and feel of the car in person. It was immediately evident that the restoration the car had undergone during it's time with the previous owner was well done and this was a solid car. Once we acquired the car for $16,000 we had a reputable local mechanic do some additional work to the vehicle and that included the following: New Original Style Brass Petcock Installed Electronic Ignition 30-31 Quail New Vacuum Wiper On-Off Control Worm Assembly New Steering Column Upper & Lower Race, Bearing, Gasket Set And Sector New Mirror Arms Alternator Was Converted To 12 Volt New 19" Firestone Whitewall Tires New 2 Blade Cast Aluminum Fan New Gear Shift Level Boot New Stainless Original Clad Clamp New Temperature Gauge Connectors New Water & Oil Gauges New Powder Coated Speedometer Gauge New Tire Cover New Shock Absorbers (All The Way Around) New Dog Bone Style Shock Link New Gas Gauge Rebuild Kit New Fan Belt & A Few Other Small Misc. Parts With Labor These Additions Totalled $2,938.90 (Receipts Are Available) We then also acquired the really nice leather trunk for the back for $500 The car has a wonderful body. It was painted with the last owner and other than a few very small spots (pictured) where the paint has chipped the condition is amazing for it's age. The rear rumble seat is a really nice feature of this car and folds up discreetly when not in use! The car was garage kept and well maintained since it's purchase in 2004 and has only had about 1,000 miles put on it since then. It was driven on the occasional weekend outing, but with a good detailing it is parade or show ready! When it was purchased the mileage was unable to be determined so the clear title states (exempt) for the odometer. This is an absolutely wonderful, very original, car with some nice upgrades that is ready for immediate enjoyment! Everything is functional (except the horn which seems to work sometimes and not work others) and the car drives great. On May-26-12 at 16:08:07 PDT, seller added the following information: It has been pointed out that the tires purchased for the car (as seen in the pictures) are indeed black walls and NOT white walls as you can tell. There was a typo on one of the original invoices from our purchase which was then carried over to the auction as I wanted to make sure you were aware of all of the upgrades. The newly purchased tires you see are indeed the tires you get. Again, just to be clear .. the tires you see are the tires you will receive if you win the car and these are black walls NOT white walls. Thank you!
