I am selling my 1962 Mercury Monterey custom Convertible. When was the last time you have seen one of these? If you want the only one at a car show or on the road, then this is the car for you. This car completed a frame-off rotisserie restoration. The car was taken down to the frame and every nut and bolt was removed, cleaned/painted to like-factory-new condition. Restoration was completed in 1996 and driven less than 500 miles since. Yes, the paint is over 16 years old, and is painted its original two-tone Sultana white and fieldstone tan. There is NO rust, it looks like a brand new car! This car was painted and restored correctly. Every mechanical part was rebuilt including engine, Auto trans, carb, brakes, radiator, rear end, complete front suspension and the list goes on. All stainless was polished and interior was replaced with NOS seat covers, door panels. If you are looking for the best 1962 Mercury Monterey in the country-this is probably it! Car comes with the following factory options: Power steering, Power Brakes, AM, Rare-Padded dash, tinted glass, 3-speed auto transmission, deluxe heater, deluxe wheel covers, back-up lights, power convertible top, clock (works) and deluxe interior. Engine has the numbers matching 352 2V balanced and rebuilt 500 miles ago when the rest of the car was restored. Car originally was from southern California and I have pictures as a black plate car brought here to Oregon in 1994. Have lots of receipts and approx. $35,000 went into the restoration of this rust-free car. The car drives great and looks stunning. Everything works and is just a joy to drive. Rear bumper is nice, but the front on the very bottom is starting to peel, but looks good now. Sorry, not interested in trades – have too many cars right now.
