Dixon is approximately 2 hours West of Chicago right off of interstate 88. We are 1 hour South of Rockford and 1 hour East of the Quad Cities. I have a 2001 VW Beetle TDI 5 speed for sale. I bought the car in 2008 in Florida with around 94k on it. It currently has 156, 809 miles on it. My wife has driven the car to work since we have owned it. 80 miles a day, 400+ miles a week. It has usually averaged right around 42 mpg. Sometimes more and sometimes less. I have never gotten below 40mpg and I have never gotten over 45mpg when I have checked it. There is no rust on the car that I know of at this point. Like I said, it grew up in Florida. I have added a block heater to the car. I plugged the heater in after it was installed to see if it worked and haven't used it since. I also replaced the belly pan with an aluminum Panzer plate and side shields. There is a door ding on the drivers door. The cloth on the ceiling is loose on the passenger side, and from what I have read about a lot of southern cars, this is common. There is a scrape on the front bumper. The lower plastic corner on the bumper is busted up a little from hitting a raccoon. I reinforced it with a piece of aluminum on the underside. It is the GLS package so it has leather seats, retractable sunroof, power windows, mirrors and locks. The leather is in decent shape except for one spot on the driver's seat. There is a 6 disc CD changer in the trunk. It was there when I bought it. We have never used it and I have no idea if it works, but it is sold with the car. Timing belt and water pump were last changed at 96,000 miles in 2008. Has a K+N air filter installed last summer that is a lifetime filter. Oil has been changed every 5000 miles.
