1963 Studebaker Avanti R2 63R3327 Paxton Supercharged 289 V8 (RS1995) R3 Carburetor Air Box Powershift Automatic Transmission PS PB Car has been driven only 1163 miles since 2003. Previous owner had the seats, door panels, headliner and carpet replaced in 2000. The brakes were rebuilt in 2001 w/stainless lined calipers. Myers rebuilt Paxton Supercharger, R3 Carburetor Air Box , Roto -Faze Distributor ($500), Michelin Roadhandler Plus Tires, grill kit, oversized radiator and Monroe Shock Absorbers in 2002. I purchased the car last year after it had sat for several years. I have removed and cleaned the gas tank. Replaced all rubber fuel hose, fuel pump, cleaned carburetor, relpaced water pump, Upper hose and belts. I replaced the seals in the power steering control valve, but it still needs some return hoses. Car evidently has sat outside for a while as can be seen by the water stains and damage to the vinyl upholstry panel behind the right rear vent glass. The dash has some cracks. The rubber door sills have been covered with black vinyl, but really need to be replaced. They are in the trunk. The car needs some cracks repaired in the body and a new paint job. The frame and hog troughs are in good condition. The motor runs good and the transmission shifts well. I have only drove it a couple of miles close to home. Needs a muffler and a pipe are two.
