Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Clear Texas title in my name. Originally an Oklahoma car. Purchased 4+ years ago. It passed inspection, then paint work was started. Paint was completed 1+ year ago. Runs, shifts, stops and goes straight. Build sheet included. H code 351C 2 barrel, automatic, 9 inch rear. Known mechanical changes are a Duraspark, chrome, a/m carb, headers/glasspaks. Except for the carb, a gas tank, and fluid changes it is mechanically as purchased 4+ years ago. Appears to be original drivetrain, harnesses, etc but can't verify. Factory A/C holds freon but blower fan inop, headers will need replacing (they are patched, seems to be holding fine) along with pipe hangers/brackets, heater core is bypassed, battery is weak. Doors and fenders are NOT original to the car-they were damaged at seams and unrepairable, weren't rusted. Hood was damaged while off the car and was replaced. Trunk floor is solid. Interior floor pans are solid and have been coated with Eastwood. Small rust spot on floor under heater core, has been treated. Originally it was a green on green car. Interior parts were either painted or dyed black or replaced with black pieces. Front seat needs recovering and headliner needs to be redone. Needs new rubber/seals. Bright work/trim is driver quality but shines well. 15" Cragar SS's. Pretty solid driver. I was told the car sat for a long time under a carport in OK, but have no way to verify history or mileage. Fun cruiser. This car was purchased to test the roller paint system. This is NOT a base coat clear coat paint job. There are imperfections even though it looks good. Lt quarter has been hit at some point and rust Lt/Rt quarters, bondo isn't perfect. Some minor runs, trash, etc in the paint but shines nicely. Has been outside for a year plus and is weathering well, but has chips here and there. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A SHOW CAR PAINT JOB THIS IS NOT THE CAR FOR YOU even though it pictures well. To view the progress go to the torinocobra website, go to the forum, go to tech articles, find pix etc at painting 72 Torino...I'd post a link but ebay is kicking it for some reason. This info is posted for full disclosure. Don't bid before you ask questions, read the description, view the pictures, and check that tech article. Low reserve auction. Car is located in Houston, Texas. Don't bid if you aren't serious about owning the car...save us both the hassle. Stickers are expired. $500 deposit via paypal at auction end within 48 hours, bank wire for remaining balance within 5 business days from auction end date. NO CHECKS OR MONEY ORDERS. Car will not leave my possession until wire is confirmed as cleared and settled by my bank. Purchaser must remove car within one month of auction end—No exceptions. My HOA and wife want this one gone along with a few others...enough said. Shipping fees and coordination are buyer's responsibility, but as long as driver works with my schedule I can help load. This car is 40 years old and you have to expect it to act as such. This is not a new car and it does not come with a guarantee or warranty of any kind. I strongly encourage an independent inspection if you can not view the car locally. Car will not leave my possession for inspection. NO TEST PILOTS. I've posted everything I can think of but ask questions if you have them. Winning bidder owns the car. Owner reserves the right to cancel auction at any time. I STRONGLY URGE BIDDERS TO HAVE THE CAR INSPECTED BY AN INSPECTION COMPANY IN HOUSTON IF YOU CAN NOT PERSONALLY VIEW IT.
