1957 FORD THUNDERBIRD CONVERTIBLE VIN: C7FH329733 THERE ARE OVER 60 IMAGES OF THIS VEHICLE BELOW THE DESCRIPTION! DESCRIPTION: This 1957 Ford Thunderbird convertible is really something to see! As a matter of fact, it is nearly impossible to miss! Painted in a gleaming red exterior color over a red interior, it presents a striking example of American cars when they were at their best! As one of the most recognizable icons of the fabulous fifties, this car was getting thumbs up from everybody. These small bodied Thunderbirds were only made for three years, from 1955 to 1957, with the last year being considered especially desirable by most collectors. This T-Bird runs very well and produced no gremlin sounds under the hood, just a smooth V8 purr that produced plenty of power. It started right up from cold and dropped to a comfortable idle after a short warm up. We drove it to a location to take the pictures and it behaved normally on the road with proper shifting, cornering and ample braking. It has the factory hardtop shown on the car as well as a brand new tan soft top that goes with it. There is an AM/FM cassette player. The paint job is driver quality and the car is a 20 footer. There are many scratches and chips as well as some crazing in places. It is typical of an older paint job. There is some chrome missing from the driver's side end of the front bumper. The interior is really beautiful and under the hood it is very nice and tidy. Most everything works in the car (except the clock and possibly one of the other gauges). Wipers, speedometer, lights, horn etc., were all working properly as were the windows. The overall car has tremendous originality with even the trunk area completed with trim, spare, jack and lug wrench. The car comes with a trunk load of valuable spares, besides the brand new top. These would include the original radio, a new generator, a new correct Holley carburetor, valve cover gaskets, radiator hoses and other miscellaneous extras.
