Vehicle Detail
1982 PORSCHE 924S Project Good afternoon! I have a 1982 Porsche 924(S) with the Non-TURBO 2.0 liter engine with 162K miles. It has the 5 speed manual transmission which could use some linkage adjustment but shifts through all the gears as it should. As you can see in the pictures that the interior is in exceptional condition with a small rip in the center of the drivers bottom seat. The carpet should be replaced but it is tolerable for everyday use. As for the rear cargo carpet, you could probably give it a deep shampoo cleaning and salvage it. The engine runs good but could use a new idle control valve ($138). Besides that you shouldn't have too much problem with it. The A/C unit is installed and hooked up but I haven't put a charge to it. Currently it does not blow cold air. There is an AM FM CD player stereo installed which works and sounds OK. It is not the stock system. You will need to get new tires to go on the Factory Spoke rims installed on the car but the existing ones have good tread just some dry rot. Has a brand new battery and basic tune-up items i.e. spark plugs, rotor, distributor cap and air filter etc... Just completed the rear brake job and I'm currently working on the front. Currently all of the lights work on the car and the electric cooling fan kicks on like it should. The car doesn't smoke or burn any oil but the engine could use a good degreasing and cleaning. Both right and left power windows work and each of the doors open properly from the inside but only the drivers door can be opened from the outside. I don't believe the adjustment on the passenger door is that difficult but needs to be done. The front headlight motor works but needs to be re-connected. It is missing the relay and the wires going to the motor have been cut and requiring new connectors. As for the hood, both the shock absorber/struts are inoperative and will require replacement. Cost for the struts is $20 for Advance Auto. There are other things on the car which require attention and that is why it is a project car. As you can also see that the car is straight with little to no rust whatsoever. The paint shines pretty good but if you want to make it right she will require a new paint job. You can use it for parts or fix everything on the car and make it run like new. Totally up to you! Personally, I don't feel it would take too much to get this one back to its original condition but that is my opinion. You decide for yourself. Please give me a call if you are interested and we can set-up a time for you to stop by and check it out. If you require more pictures or want to discuss the vehicle further please don't hesitate to call me. My name is Curtis and I can reached on my out of state cell phone at 303-522-0078.
