Hello, it's time to let my FJ40 go. I have had it for over 30 years. It has been very well maintained, it was my first real car. I worked my ass off to buy it and it was well worth it. It has been kept in the southwest US it's entire life, so minimal rust. It is killing me to have to let this go. It's not too often that an FJ40 in this good of shape shows up on the market. I have tried when possible to keep everything OEM. I've never jacked the suspension up or put giant tires on it. It's alway got me where I wanted to go. - Never been in any kind of accident and no major repairs (like broken axle or birfields) - It's the FJ40 that I have ever seen that didn't get rusted back quarter panels. I've kept it inside when I can (like now). - If you know FJ40's you'll appreciate that the emergency brake works! - Really easy to work on with the repair manual included below. - Had it repainted about 7 years ago and had them clean up the little rust spots. They did a great job. Comes with (see photos): - Bikini top, Soft side doors and tailgate (for when you remove the top) - Cow catcher gril - New hub caps, hydraulic jack (for tire repair and getting unstuck!) and snow chains - Map holders for the backs of the seats - Original air conditioner (compressor needs repair though) - Custom rear bumper Issues: Small rust spot coming up under paint on right fender. Rust coming up under paint in passenger floor. Brake booster could be replaced/rebuilt. Note the last 2 images are from 1983 with the original paint. Man, what a great vehicle for hang gliding...
