Slammed rat rod. rusty runner, very fun to drive. I got this as a basket case and made gold with what I had. Pulled engine and resealed, repainted tins and replaced the generator and voltage regulator. New battery, fixed the brakes, and e-brake. installed new clutch cable and inspected the clutch already in it.Inspected the throw-out bearing and main seal on transmission . rebuilt the pedal assembly, have new accelerator cable but the old one is not broken. Rebuilt the carb, patched floor on drivers side. Have low back seats in front and good condition rear fold down seats! Front is lowered via narrowed and welded in avis adjusters on a type 1 beam. Rear is lowered via indexed and notched spring plates....very, very low (cool). Engine is a 1600 single port, torque is not missing from this engine. Odometer shows 99xxx miles but I have no idea on the actual miles of the engine.Have many more photos but don't know how to add more here, I can send some more via e-mail if need. I have been building and driving VW's for 17 yrs and love the way this engine runs and the way this thing drives. Now, why I'm selling......I can only take 1 car with me when I move so sadly she has to go to a new home so I can buy another VW where I'm going. You want to make it perfect, be ready to weld in new floor pans and patch work etc. Or do like I do and run it like it is. Gets thumbs ups, smiles and a lot of stories where ever you go. Can deliver between Fort Knox, Ky and Los Angeles, Ca sometime between May 31st and Jun 10th. for a little more money, Ask about delivery. We can work out a price for gas. Local pick up unless we talk about delivery....500.00 deposit due with in 24hrs and the rest payed via cash when delivered or pick up. I've tried to list and show the rust on the car. I want to be forward with everything. The rust is not unsafe, and the vehicle drive and stops as it should.Please ask questions as all will be answered. If but it now is used i will include a 19.5' purpose built Volkswagen trailer with the car. I used the trailer with my VW dragster and Baja for years. Surface rust over, but made for VW's and other cars work also. My reserve is lower than the but it now to reflect this, reserve is low for this car!
