Here is an awesome and striking, 1965 Mustang Convertible that was built in San Jose, California and has spent its' entire life in the sunny and dry states of California and Arizona! This Southern California Mustang has been in the hands of only 2 owners its' entire life and is a Black Plate California car, meaning it has never been registered outside the state of California! It is currently titled and registered in California and is located in Scottsdale, Arizona. The underside is totally original and free of any rust or scale and there are no patches or repairs and no attempt to hide or cover anything up! There is no evidence of any accident history and all the sheet metal and panels appear original to this car. I can safely say that this car is and always was, virtually 100% rust free! The gaps and clearances are all factory straight and even. The recent paint job is a gorgeous, show quality finish and done in the original and appealing, Poppy Red! It was an exceptionally gorgeous paint job that has been sanded and buffed to a high luster and looks great! The chrome is either new or gorgeous original with just some light pitting on the vent window posts and the glass is all in good shape. The convertible top is new and it fits like a glove! The trunk area has its' original paint and is untouched, original and still looks great! I have also included some photos of the floor pans before the carpeting was installed that show the original paint over the pristine original sheet metal! Included is the spare tire, jack, lug wrench and tire cover. The original color White/Black interior is gorgeous and consists of beautiful new seat covers, new dash pad, new carpets, new door panels and arm rests and new convertible top and boot! The dash is excellent and the gauges are clean and bright. The steering wheel is nice with a few cracks in the hub. The gauges all appear to work as they should. The radio plays great and the wipers, horn, heater fan, courtesy lights and all the running lights work fine. The tachometer works fine and the clock does not work. The stock shifter is still in place and shifts fine! Mechanically, this little Pony Musclecar appears to be in excellent condition! The engine runs smooth and strong and was recently completely rebuilt. The transmission shifts as it should and the clutch is strong and new as are the brakes. The exhaust is fairly recent and in great shape. The front suspension appears to have been gone through recently. This classy little Mustang runs strong and drives very tight and smooth! It is easily one of the nicest running and driving collector cars that I have driven and its' super fun to drive! The engine compartment is clean and very sharp and looks great! Mustangs are some of the fastest appreciating and most desirable and sought after collector cars in the market today and now you can own a prime example that is ready for cruising or show! It has great provenance! Its' a rust free, California and Arizona car! It's an unmolested and desirable car! Its' been almost totally restored while, at the same time, preserving its' original and virtually untouched, undercarriage!
