You are looking at a 1961 Ford Galaxie 2 door with the 352 cubic inch V8 and automatic transmission. The car is all original. All the glass is good, it has true wide whitewall tires on it, headliner is nice, trunk mat is really nice, original jack and spare tire hardware are in place, interior is nice except for carpet and wear on driver's seat (rear seat still has period correct clear plastic seat cover over it!). The floors are solid, and frame is super solid, but there is rust around rear wheelwells as you can see in the pictures, and exhaust is rusted out as well. The gas tank probably needs to be dropped and cleaned out before being used again, but as it is presently, the car starts and drives around (with a small can of gas under the hood), and the brakes work, but the pedal is firm to press, so they need to be gone through. The engine sounds nice with no knocks, ticks, or smoking. Transmission shifts through all the gears as it should with no mushy shifts (we took the car out on the highway once just to be sure). This is a really good looking bodystyle, and would be easy to spiff up and start driving again!
