You absolutely could not duplicate this A-code pony with its original 289 4V engine for the asking price, even if you got the car for free. Fresh paint, a beautiful interior, and a lot of documentation make this a fantastic way to get into the Mustang hobby without a major investment. Recently repainted in the original code T Candyapple Red, this handsome coupe looks like a million bucks. Originally hailing from Dallas, Georgia and spending its entire life down south, there’s no rust or rot anywhere on the car, and the original sheetmetal is crisp and sharp thanks to expert restoration work. They built a lot of Mustangs, most of them coupes just like this, but that doesn’t mean they’re not handsome, timeless cars, and except for perhaps a Corvette or a Porsche 911, there aren’t many cars that are more recognizable around the world. This one has been dressed up with a fresh black vinyl roof, bright rocker panel moldings, and fresh chrome on the bumpers, it’s nicely detailed in the way you’d want your Mustang to look. The result is cheerful and appropriate, making this a car you’ll be proud to show at any level because it fits together so well. A new red Pony interior is a very desirable upgrade, and it’s authentically restored with great detailing and attention to the little things. Look how neatly the seat covers fit, with just the right amount of padding underneath to create a supportive seat that doesn’t look over-stuffed. You’ll find crisply marked gauges in the dash; another detail that you just don’t see in cars priced like this, and the original AM radio still lives in the dash, which is an increasingly rare find. Add in a beautifully restored steering wheel, fresh door panels, and a taut headliner, and it’s hard to see how anyone could come out right-side-up financially with a sticker price like this. Interiors this nice are EXPENSIVE. And this isn’t just some 6-cylinder beater, either. For that price, you’re getting a legitimate A-code 289 that is this car’s original engine, fully rebuilt and detailed. Someone took the time to do it right, as there’s Ford Blue paint on the engine itself, a correct air cleaner assembly, vintage power steering pump, and suitably vintage accessories throughout. It spins to life easily with a nice little bark from the single exhaust, and runs beautifully down the road. The 3-speed automatic clicks through the gears unobtrusively, and 3.00 gears out back make it an excellent highway cruiser. Underneath it’s original, but quite solid and unmarked, although not detailed for show. The original steel wheels with optional wire wheelcovers now wear a set of white-letter radials, but that’s one of very few deviations from stock. This car also comes with documents like the original invoice, something usually reserved for the more expensive cars. This Mustang is a shocking bargain, don’t miss it, call today! 1966 Ford Mustang for Sale 1966 Ford Mustang for Sale Stock #00767-ATL (866) 542-8392 - (704) 598-2130 sales@streetsideclassics.com Showroom Hours: Monday - Saturday 9:00am - 6:00pm 1966 Ford Mustang for Sale VEHICLE SPECIFICATIONS ENGINE: 289 CI V8 BODY STYLE: Coupe TRANSMISSION: Automatic EXTERIOR COLOR: Candyapple Red ODOMETER READING: 95,297 INTERIOR COLOR: Red VEHICLE FEATURES & OPTIONS Seatbelts,Vinyl Interior,Power Steering,AM Radio,Numbers Matching SELLER REMARKS Wow, this is a lot of Mustang for not a lot of money.
