Nice 1974 THING. I have had this Thing since 2009. I bought it from a father/son who had intentions of restoring it. They bought it from an older retired body man in Vermont. The body man painted the car yellow, including the floor. I did the following to the car to restore it: 1) Had motor rebuilt with larger cam and bigger pistons (it runs great)2) Had the outside of the car and inner door panels repainted with a quality German paint. All the body parts are original as far as I know. The floor is like new, not sure if it was replaced.3) Put new high end correct size tires on it4) Had seats front and rear custom upholstered, new carpet5) Wired it for a stereo6) New generator and new starter7) New door handles and after market outside mirrors8) New windows over the original painted window frames - The top is in good condition with some marks on the rear plastic window (can be replaced if you choose). - There is a loose seam on the drivers seat- No cigarette lighter but you can get one- The driver side wiper works but I never got the bar to attach passenger side. I use it in good weather This is a great VW Thing with a great rust free, straight body. Always get compliments on her. I am not interested in any trades, I don't have a BIN, and will not disclose reserve. I will answer any questions as soon as I can. This Thing will come with a Thing (thick) shop manual
