Vehicle Detail

After one non payer and one buyer who after winning called to offer me $1000.00 less. I really hope E-bay gets them. Anyway my 1968 Mercury Montego is up for sale again. I need to sell it to pay for medical bills that medicare isn't paying(due to our great! president doing away with medicare advantage). but that is another story. The body is straight with the previous two owners doing whatever was necessary to the body if anything. It has a 6 year old repaint with enamel in factory correct Cardinal Red and Wimbledon White, color sanded between coats and has an almost clear coat appearance and with the exception of the two noted flaws is absolutely stunning. The flaws are: One on the top RH front fender and the other over the LH rear fender wheel opening. Both are in the photos. I have stuck a magnet everywhere on the painted surface so what ever was done is done right. When I purchased the car I had new carpeting installed and had the dash pad re-dyed because it was turning black. It had no cracks and only a couple of wrinkles hardly noticeable. Other than these two items all else is in near perfect condition. I do not know if it is all original or not. The engine is the original 302. I did the following: Valve job with new valves, Melling cam and new flat hyd lifters, new water pump, new one wire chrome alternator, electronic ignition, new distributor and wires, new high output coil, new high rise polished aluminum intake manifold and new Holley 600 cfm carb. Also new chrome valve covers(the original covers along with the air cleaner assy go with the car). The engine has Mobil I synthetic oil in it. The tranny is a Ford C4 and it is in perfect working order. The front end is all tight and original except for the idler arm I replaced and a new boot on the pwr steering rod. The brakes are all in good working order. All that was necessary when I purchased the car was to turn the drums a bit. The system was bled and DOT 5 fluid was installed. The trunk carpet was glued down but as the gas tank is the entire bottom of the trunk rust is not an issue and non is noted from the underside. Included in the trunk is an original tire and wheel along with the jack and tire tool in excellent condition. The underside of the trunk lid is in pristine original condition. I guess the only items really needing attention are re-plating of the rear bumper, and re-painting the underside of the hood. Engine compartment is completely detailed. I have installed a FM tuner in the glove box and also an XM mount and antenna. The tuner does NOT go with the car but they are cheap! I also have installed $1600.00 worth of Cragar wheels and BF Goodrich tires tires. Also included is the owner's manual and a factory service manual. Any questions, e-mail me. This is a buy here with absolutely no warranty of any kind implied. You are welcome to inspect it or have a representative do so and BEFORE you win and then only AFTER you have paid if not inspected before auction ending. You are not bidding to look!!! No misrepresentations of any kind have knowingly made made. I only know for sure what I have done to it, and nothing in the past. This car as it sits is worth the middle elevens to the middle twelves. Just check with any large classic auction house or check in any price book. My reserve is way,way below that. Did I mention that this car only has 67,000 miles on it? This is a drive anywhere car.! Thank you for your interest. P.S. The photos are not the way I uploaded them. Some are out of order. Not my fault! A deposit of $500.00 is due thru Pay Pal within 24 hours and the balance due in 7 days from auction end by bank wire transfer. Your bank will do it for you. Again, thank you for your interest. On May-04-12 at 08:52:44 PDT, seller added the following information: Due to some bad news financially I have lowered my reserve below $9,000.00.
