I have recently lost my job and need to sell my 1968 Fastback. You are bidding on an original California car that has never had any rust. I would doubt it has ever seen the rain. Original underbody paint is still evident. It is now in Colorado and has been garaged for the last 8 years. Never seen any weather here either. The car was originally a red 6 cyl. fastback out of San Jose, CA. I still have the original owners manual signed the day it was driven off the lot. At some point in its life it was taken off the street and converted to a V8 setup. The car has only been repainted once. The additions are rear custom California flares(fiberglass), The flares are filled with new one piece aluminum Cragar rims with BF Goodrich T/A's. All original panels are in place except for the flares on the rear. Only bondo is around the flares. Functional hood blinkers. Done very nicely. It is a metallic black. Only scar is the front left headlight bucket. It is minor but I would replace it for an A on the body.I was backed into at a show. Front and rear swar bars. Front end has been re- built with polyurethane bushings, heavy front springs and then lowered an inch. 4 wheel disc brakes. Nine inch Ford positrac rear end with 3:73 gears. The drivetrain includes a re-built 4 spd top-loader driven by a hurst shifter. The engine is a rebuilt 4 bolt main 351 Cleveland built with an Edelbrock mid rise manifold and carb. Electronic ignition added for reliability. The interior, engine and paint have 1100 miles on them. Interior is black and is 99%. One scuff on the passenger seat. New steering wheel and new electronic speedometer by classic instruments. It looks fantastic. Has am/fm mp3 capable "mustang" radio. New carpets, front seats, headliner and carpet. All original internal panels. No speaker holes in rear trap door or interior quarter panels. Extremely original car. This car runs very well and it is a shame that I have to sell it. It was appraised at 25,000, however, I am setting a low reserve as I am in need of cash. No trades, sorry. Please e mail me with any questions, comments or concerns.
