1966 Volkswagen Bug Original Ca Black Plate ! Price: $3300 This VW came from an original owner where it sat in storage since 1981. Has both original Ca Black plates and original Ogner VW Dealership from Canoga Park. It still has it's original paint, never hit from nor back, very straight, minor surface rust only and small dents. Pan is clean for an exception of the battery tray area. Pan has only light surface rust. has two original slotted wheels, the rest are earlier solid wheels. Interior seems like it's original, nice dry and crusty and smells like an Old Vlokswagen, lol. Engine is original number matching , so is the transmission. VW has 94k miles, I just rebuilt the Carburetor and the Fuel pump all original factory parts, just bought a new Interstate 6 Volt battery. I removed and cleaned the gas tank and replaced the brake and gas lines, but the engine is running off the little container right now. Got the engine running and after 30+ years started right up and ran well, but I noticed the rear oil seal is leaking, so that is the extent of running it or driving it further the seal has to be replaced not expensive just labor consuming. There are no back DMV fee's, the Non op was just paid, Duplicate paperwork for title as original title was lost, all cleared by the DMV. This is a true Barn Find Survivor, very clean and original. Yesterday I went to the AAA club to confirm all of the DMV necessary paperwork is in order, I obtain the duplicate lost title forms, transfer , bill of sale, fee's are up to date and on Non Op right now. The new owner would have to take all of these forms to a local DMV office along with the Volkswagen to verify the vin numbers, because it has been off the DMV for over 30 years, pay a transfer fee of $46 and they will issue a new Title to the new owner, the present registration is CLEAR !. Also please be advised since I decided to no longer work or fix this VW and get it running, it will be sold in as is is NON Running condition and I already Returned the new Interstate Battery I bought. So the battery is no longer available with the auction, please make a not e of that before placing final winning bid. Thank you all once again !.
