No Reserve - 5 Day Auction Up for auction is a 1989 535i. This is a rare 5 speed that also has a Dinan chip installed as well as the K&M air filter. The car runs very good, but does need some things. The rear bumper cover will probably need to be replaced. It is on the car, but is cracked on the rear left side. Certainly driveable, but from an aesthetic standpoint, I would replace it. Also, although the paint looks ok in the pictures, it really does need a paint job, at least from my perspective. It looks ok from a distance, but I just want to be upfront about everything. I know what it is like to buy a car on Ebay, go to get the car, and find that what the seller describes was less than accurate. I am a long time ebayer with 196 transactions with a 100% positive feedback. The right rear inside door panel also needs to replaced. They are all over Ebay, I just don't have the time to restore this beast as I have several other BMWs and am too busy with my job to make the car the way I would want it to be. The wheels in the photos are NOT part of the auction. If the buyer wants them, we will have to talk about an additional cost. The car will have very nice factory BMW 16 inch wheels that are in almost new condition and the tires are in decent shape. The car has a NEW clutch and the car is just flat out fun to drive. I owned an '89 535i years ago, and I thought it was fast. This BMW, with the Dinan chip and the K&M air filter installed, is a very different car. The BMW 535i engine is still manufactured by BMW. It is referred to as the "million mile motor" as many trucking companies in Germany use this engine in their trucks and the engines just run and run. So, this is car is far from perfect, not even close, but for someone that loves these old 5's, well, this is a great car and they will not be disappointed if you keep in mind that that this is a (23) year old car, so the body and paint will reflect these I strongly suggest coming to see and drive the car before you bid.......that is just what I like to do....
