Vehicle Description: Up for auction is my father’s 2006 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer ed. with a 4.6L V8 and the AdvanceTrac RSC. This is a beautifully kept truck with very low miles. The truck has no mechanical issues to mention and goes down the road just wonderfully. The automatic transmission shifts great and the motor is quiet and dry. It was recently inspected in NJ that will be valid through December of 2012. The brakes are strong. All service was done at local Ford dealerships. With only 53k miles, the interior and exterior of the car represent its light use as an office executive’s commuter vehicle with no wear-and-tear typical of a work truck. Being that the Eddie Bauers are top-of-the-line Explorers, this one is loaded with every bell and whistle. The exterior is in terrific shape with two-tone gold/tan paint and there are no cracks, dents, or rust. With the exception of a few very minor scratches that disappear with a simple buff job and the typical small marks on front bumpers, there are no blemishes to mention. The chrome trim package, clean light-up running boards, fog lights, and roof racks make the car really stand out beautifully. Don’t get me wrong, the full tow package is ready for work and the four-wheel drive works great. The tires are in great condition with 80% tread life and a full size spare underneath. The high-end alloy wheels have brilliant shine. The interior is in really exceptional shape and was never smoked in or used to transport the pets. There are nice tan leather seats, clean carpets with no signs of heavy spillage or stains and just a heel mark on the driver’s side, a clean non-smoker headliner with a sunroof, and a squeaky clean dash. The wood trim package looks really nice and there are no cracks. There are power windows, locks (keyless remote and keypad), drivers seat and mirrors, steering wheel audio/cruise controls, dual airbags, and loads of other more standard options. The stereo has cd, cassette, and am/fm. There is no third row of seats but the latches are there if you wanted to outfit with the extra seating. The only thing to mention about the interior is the minor rub marks on the center console and driver door’s armrest from one’s comfortable driving position that clean up at a detail shop, but no cracks. Overall, this is a really clean ’06 Explorer that is so comfortable to drive and with the low miles, this one is a new-feeling truck far below retail prices.
