Up for auction is an early production 1929 model A two door sedan used in the filming of the movie J. Edger! This is an older restoration done in the 1970’s. I have owned it for the past three years and have done some upgrades to it. I have kept it as original looking as possible while making it a bit more reliable and street safe. All the wiring has been redone, the distributor has been upgraded with modern style points and Model B spark plug wires and distributor cap. Six volt halogen headlight bulbs have been installed in the original headlight buckets. A 6 volt 60 amp NEGATIVE ground alternator has been installed to keep the battery charged with the headlights on - charges even at idle! The new dash light comes on with the headlights, along with a vintage looking 60 amp stewart warner amp gage upgrade to handle the higher current flow, and a nifty alternator bracket are all my own creations! It has a new ignition switch, dual tail/ brake lights, a new high/low beam switch, water proof fuses, new battery, new radiator hoses, a modern leak-less ball bearing type water pump, and an oil filter conversion kit for longer intervals between oil changes has also been installed! I have done nothing to the engine, transmission, or rear axle except change the fluids and rebuild the carburetor. What needs work: The roof leaks where the fabric has torn away from the metal, the roof interior has suffered from some water damage, all the tires are old- spare tire is flat, the brakes work but need to be properly adjusted, the nickel plating is in poor condition- gives the well ridden look that was needed for the movie J. Edger! Over all it needs a new paint job! The car comes with: Extra miscellaneous parts, a manual, and a framed copy of the check recived from Warner Brothers for the use of the car in the movie J.
