This truck has been so good to me but I have to let it go. It's been my daily driver and has never left me stranded. My intentions were to keep for a while but due to circumstances with my career I need to pull my cash back out of it. The truck is being sold with a clean and clear Florida title and can be delivered anywhere in the world at the buyers expense. Please do not bid if you do not have the money or not 100% sure on following up with the transaction. Do not hesitate to ask questions before placing a bid. You are bidding on a 1959 Ford F-100 Custom Cab Pick Up Truck. It has the original 292ci V8 coupled to a 3 speed manual column shift transmission. (aka 3 on a tree). Most of the truck is still original. The interior has been slightly updated with new carpet and a recovered bench seat. The battery and tires are only about a year old. I recently replaced the starter and the clutch slave cylinder. The Good The truck runs, drives great and starts every time with just one pump of the accelerator. It warms up very quickly and is ready to go in under a minute. The transmission shifts smooth and the clutch grabs with no slip or excessive chatter. The four wheel drum, non power brakes stop the truck quickly and in a nice strait line. Never have I seen smoke come out of the exhaust or a spot of oil in my left behind in my drive way. The truck has been repainted in the last couple of years and overall it looks decent. It's not a show truck by any means but from 10ft it looks great. You can’t drive this thing anywhere with out striking up a conversation or getting a thumbs up from a passer by. On top of all that it’s a truck!! I’ve pulled two motorcycles on a small trailer behind with ease. I’ve also been to Home Depot and filled the bed with 2x4s. You can put this guy to work with no hestitation. The bed is rust free and very solid. One last thing the fuel economy is not terrible thanks to a two barrel factory carb. I would say I’m getting high teens for mileage in the city. For a big V8 that's pretty amazing. The Bad The truck has some minor rust underneath and has some rust repairs on the body. From the exterior there are no visible signs of rust but you can see some of the body work on the passenger side. This is more cosmetic than structural. Again this is a driver and not a show truck and is priced accordingly. Due to the gearing and only having three gears the truck is good for 60-65mph max so please don’t bid and intend on driving it 1000 miles to get it home. I can ship it to you for much less than what it would cost in fuel and time. The speedometer nor odometer work. All the other gauges work fine. The drivers’ side windshield wiper is included with the truck but needs to be installed. The battery tray is in serious need of attention. It looks like you can just bolt a new one on but I haven’t messed with it. If I were to keep the truck my next project would be finding a nice sterring wheel. The windows are a little bit difficult to roll down but all the glass is in great shape. I really don’t have any service records for the truck and it is being sold as is. I’ve driven the truck daily for the last 6 months and have not had a problem. I don’t anticipate this truck giving you any problems. It was pulled from a similar truck in the Mid West. It has some surface rust but over all is solid and not rusted through. Most of the hardware is included as well. Thanks!
