Up for auction is our 1999 Mazda Miata MX-5. 1.8 liter 4 cylinder engine and a five-speed manual transmission.The car currently has 132,770 miles on it. This was a daily driver in our family for the past five years. We are selling it because we just don't drive it as much as we used to. This is a NON-SMOKER car. There are NO ODORS in the car. This Miata runs and drives as it should, without any issues whatsoever. There are no mechanical problems. There are no warning lights.We have maintained the car properly. The fluids are all full, with a recent oil change. The car does not leak any fluids. We bought the car five years ago with 110, 525 miles.As you can see, we only drove the car just over 22,000 miles in the five years we have owned it. We have the CLEAN TITLE in hand. The car has NEVER been in any accidents. In the past five years, we have replaced the following items:-front & rear brake pads.-clutch.-radiator.-spark plugs & wires.-coil pack.-battery.-catalytic converters (both).-oxygen sensors (both).-aftermarket intake & filter.-leather seat covers that fit like a glove.-dash cover.-Momo shift knob.-leather shift boot.-leather ebrake boot. -regular oil changes. -mazda aluminum fuel door.As stated earlier, the car runs, shifts, and drives perfectly.The interior is really very nice. The heater blows hot, and the AC blows cold. The Pioneer aftermarket CD deck also works fine. The cruise control works. The power antenna works. The power mirrors work. Everything functions as it should. The stock seats are cloth, and we like leather, so we bought custom graphite grey leather seat covers that fit like a glove. The cloth seats are still presentable if you wanted to remove these covers. The drivers bolster was showing some wear. That's it. The dash is in perfect condition. We added a dash cover as we usually do on all of our cars to eliminate dash glare. A real carbon fiber dash trim kit was installed. Rally stripes... We had black vinyl rally stripes on the car for the past five years. We did this to cover up the blemishes on the front bumper that you can see in the photos. The bumper was damaged from the stock license plate holder. This is common for this generation Miatas. We relocated the front license plate so this won't happen again. The stock front plate bracket is included if you want to put the plate back to stock.The paint is in overall good driver condition, with the exception of the license plate bolt blemishes shown on the front bumper.There is NO RUST of any kind on the car.The body has a few small tiny dings, and perhaps a tiny scratch or two, typical of any daily driver.The paint has faded a little over the years, and if you really look for it, you can see where the stripes were. We are including enough of the black ralley stripe material if the new owner wishes to stripe the car again. We removed the stripes as we wanted to show the front bumper blemishes, as we don't want to hide ANYTHING from the new owner. If we had left the stripes on, you would never know that the front bumper has these blemishes. Two complete sets of wheels...The car is currently running a set of four First Generation Miata "Daisy" wheels and a set of four Bridgestone Blizzak Winter Tires. We get a little snow and ice here, but Oregon does NOT salt the roads. These first generation wheels could use a new coat of silver paint, but they are in otherwise good shape.We do have the original set of four Second Generation Miata 14" wheels. These wheels have tires, but the tires need to be replaced. Two are at the wear bars, and two have some life left, but not much. Extra stuff... We have some extra wheel caps for the original wheels that come with the car. In fact, we have the stock intake system, and a box of extra stuff that go with the car, including a set of tire chains, the original gas door, extra dash vents, etc. Pretty much all the extra stuff we collected over the years. The sun visors are included too.The car could use a new top sometime. It is usable as is, but it has been repaired. There are three small areas where the top has been patched. I would expect that you could use the top "as is" for the next couple of years or so. You can buy a replacement top here on eBay for $300.00. The trunk is in excellent shape. Nice and clean. As you can see from the photos, the original spare tire, jack, and tools are all present and accounted for. The engine bay is clean and unmodified (save for the aftermarket intake) and is really very clean for a daily driver. Bottom line, this is a strong running and reliable little car.It is not perfect, but it is VERY NICE.We would not hesitate to jump in and drive this car cross country. Add a new set of summer tires, a replacement top, and have the front bumper repainted / touched up. Do these three things, and the car will look almost PERFECT!
