Up for auction is a 1988 Ford Thunderbird Turbocoupe. It's in fair shape. The body has a few dents and dings. It does need some TLC. The paint is only a 6 out of 10 and it will need to be repainted before long. The radio was missing when I bought it, and I never bothered to install one. The paint is fading. The tires are in pretty good shape, as is the windshield. The rear bumper cover does have a crack and I do recommend replacing it. The exhaust is getting old and the muffle should be replaced soon. As far as the positives...the drivetrain is in great shape. It runs great, the transmission shifts fine and the 8.8" rearend is in good shape. The engine has a fresh tune-up. It has new plugs, plug wires, distributor cap and rotor. The battery is new and the engine runs great. I also installed a new thermostat. The 4 wheel disc brakes do a fine job of stopping the car. I just polished the headlight covers and they look much better than they do in the photos. It does need some work, but is a good project car. It is located in Ripley, MS...just 55 miles southeast of Memphis, TN. You'll need to pick up the car from Ripley. I'm still driving the car every day, so the mileage may not be accurate.
