This 1954 Hudson Hornet features the optional factory upgraded "Twin-H Power" engine of NASCAR fame. Hudson was the first auto manufacture to be involved in stock car racing, back when they truly raced "stock cars." The Hudson racing team went on to dominate the early '50s, winning 27 out of 34 NASCAR grand national races in 1952, which was capped with Marshall Teague's AAA championship that same year in a Hudson. The success of this car led to its portrayal by Paul Newman as the character Doc Martin in the Pixar movie Cars. The 6-cylinder 170hp Twin-H was a revolutionary engine that provided the extra power fueling the Hudson's racing success. From its unique appearance to powerful performance, this engine is true work of art. This Hornet features custom billot wheels, beautiful chrome all around, custom paint job and white glove leather interior. This Hudson Hornet is a well preserved artifact of stock car racing history.
