Vehicle Detail

Well I hate to sell but it must go ! Up for auction is an early Datsun 260-Z with only 45,086 miles and air conditioning. I purchased this car back in 2009 off of ebay from Ohio. The car originally was sold by Reedman Datsun of Bristol, Pa. I have the original window sticker, owners manuals, warranty card and booklet and some service receipts. The last time this Datsun was inspected and on the road was 1987-88. I refer to this car as a time capsule. The reason I say that is when I started to work on the car everything was original right down to the tires. I purchased the car with a bad engine. The engine has a piston stuck to the cylinder wall so its not really usable. The car has very little rust (please look at ALL the pictures). What I have done to the car is : New front control arm bushings, new tie rod ends, new ball joints, new steering rack bushings, new brake pads, new brake calipers, front rotors resurfaced, new steering coupler bushing, new brake master cylinder, new clutch master cylinder, new slave cylinder, new tension rod bushings, new rear lower control arm bushings, new differential mustache bar bushings, new rear wheel cylinders, new rear brake shoes, brake drums turned, 4 new Koni non-adjustable struts, new Eibach Progressive lowering springs, 2 new BFG radial tires (the other 2 tires are still the originals), 4 new braided stainless steel brake lines and clutch line, new engine mounts, Gas tank was cleaned and coated, new fuel sending unit. All the bushings that I replaced are now urethane. The interior in this car is in amazing condition for its age. The seats are nice, the dash is NOT cracked, the door panels are nice.. the interior is nice ! The exterior of the car is also nice as well for it being a car that has lived its life in the east. With that said there are a few areas to mention, the underside of the car is nice and was undercoated by what I think was Ziebart. The drivers side floor where the floor meets and starts to go up the wheel well will need a VERY small section replaced ( I have the piece to weld in ) there is a small part of the drivers frame rail that needs replaced and again its a VERY small area ( I have the piece for this as well ). There is some minor surface rust below the drivers side tail light. Look at ALL the pictures so you can see what I mean. The original 4 speed transmission is included as is everything else but the engine (you can have the original engine if you want). If you have an engine then this is your car. This car really is almost done but I've run out of money and I don't want it to sit. I do have a 1975-76 N42 L28 engine available for this car that has round top SU carbs, header and centerforce 2 clutch but is for sale seperately. I've owned and raced these cars for many years and wanted to see this build thru but right now I'm not able to complete my dream. So as they say my loss is your gain. Its not going to take much to put this car back, the hard parts are done. I was going to drive and fix it up as I went. Most all the parts I purchased for this car either came from Motorsport Auto or Ebay. I have a lot of time and money invested in this car so far but its time to sell. I'm also sure I forgot some things. I feel I have a very reasonable reserve on the car so good luck bidding. Please don't email me and ask the reserve because I won't tell you. Clear and free Pa title in hand. Car is sold "as is". If you have ANY questions please ask. If you want to come see the car your more than welcome to. I will help with shipping but ALL the Cost(s) is the buyers responsibility. Deposit of $250.00 due thru paypal 48 hours of auction end. Balance due upon pick-up of car in Cash or Bank check. I would like car to be picked up 7-10 days after auction end. I will listen to all FAIR and Reasonable offers, low ballers and tire kickers I will not respond to. Thanks for looking. On Mar-29-12 at 20:24:18 PDT, seller added the following information: If you have Zero (0) feedback your bid will be cancelled if I'm not contacted before you bid !On Apr-04-12 at 12:39:22 PDT, seller added the following information: ok ebayers here it is.. reserve is $2500.00 good luck !
