Vehicle Detail
Up for Sale is my Classic 1991 Honda CRX Si 5 speed All Motor B16A and what’s left of the original Tahitian Green Paint. Low Reserve! The following is a vehicle history and detail of what I have learned owning the vehicle for 8 years. I will attempt to inform you of all the good and bad that goes with owning a 21 year old Honda CRX to the best of my abilities. It is an excellent driver, I've owned the vehicle for about 8 years and hope whoever buys it will enjoy it as much as I have. As far as I know the car was purchased in California and I think bought it from the second maybe first owner in Florida. So no rust, just sun damage. The car has a lot of paper history and records, plus all the parts/funds I've sunk into it. I call it a sleeper, because most the work done is under the hood and I never had it painted. The only reason I'm getting rid of it is because I need a bigger vehicle and can't keep it any more... The engine was swapped for a B16A with a Y1 LSD transmission every bit of engine maintenance has been done. I would say the mileage is 85K max. (Valvoline oil and Honda filter every 3000 miles) The valve train has been upgraded. Cams are Rocket Motorsports M22 with Supertech dual valve springs and titanium retainers along with Omni Power high compression valves. The head has a light port and polish with a port matched intake and manifold. The cams love compression. So the setup I had was 30 thousands removed between the head and gasket along with the high compression valves around (11.7 compression). Everything was clayed and had plenty of room. (The car was ridiculously fun for a while. But the gasket failed, seems it was not torqued enough.) The machinist gave everything an OK so I'm currently running a 2 layer gasket which may be (around 11.3 compression) the car has plenty of power for everyday driving and still gets 30 mpg. Everything is tuned with an OBD1 conversion, RC 440 injectors, Aeromotive FPR, and JG Cam gears. The Hondata has a beautiful dyno tune done by a friend at Pure Tuning. He told me if I added any more power I would be risking blowing it up. (But I know it could use more compression) As for the body, the vehicle was in a low speed side swipe on the passenger side. It dented the fender and pulled off the bumper a little. (was not structural) There was a dent in the passenger rear, the previous owner said she backed into a mailbox but that has been removed along with a few other dings no filler. The sun has taken its toll on the top half of the car. Some of the moldings have been touched up and need to be dressed to look good. Needs paint (See Pictures) The interior is clean. The seat has some patches, slight fading plastic in rear hatch corner, needs a plastic cover here and there. The radio works when it wants to. Underneath there is an oil pan leak (but not enough to drip) I will include the OEM pan gasket I purchased from Honda. Along with a trunk full of misc stock parts that may be needed. (See Pictures) UPGRADES: ALL GOOD PARTS NO CHEAP STUFF, YOU MAY JUST WANT TO PART THE CAR OUT ;( Rocket Motorsports M22 Cams with Supertech Dual Valve springs Titanium retainers Omni power High Compression Valves JG Engine Dynamics cam gears Toda 4-2-1 Exhaust Manifold AEM Cold Air System Hondata S200 RC 440 Injectors New OBD1 Distributor and Conversion Aeromotive Fuel Pressure Regulator B&M FPG Odyssey PC680 Lightweight Battery Block Guard Hasport Mounts and Linkage AEBS Pro Spec Head Studs Exhaust Stainless Steel 2.5" mandrel bent tubing into a resonator and Dynomax muffler sweet smooth tone (no rasp) Fluidyne Radiator L-Con Traction Bar Exedy Lightweight Flywheel Exedy Organic Sport Clutch Raxles CV Axles Rotora Rotors Axxis Pads Honda Mud Guards If you see anything I miss add that too... Now The Bad Parts : No A/C needs a bracket for the compressor and a hose, but I will include all the stock parts and compressor. The transmission has a grind in third gear depending on how much you baby it. Somehow the windshield cracked. It needs a set of tires. The sunroof is shot with rust but still functioning and may be a source for water leak. Plus the exterior cosmetics and little bits here and there. (See Pictures) Overall the vehicle is a 7/10 for me. Only needs a set of tires to be road worthy I would rate the car as follows but Check the pictures to confirm. Engine : 10/10 JDM B16A All maintenance, parts done/replaced such as water pump, timing belt, LMA, main relay, master cylinder, seals, etc... Transmission : 7/10? A grind in 3rd depending how you drive it. Interior : 8/10 Pretty clean, Has usual tear in driver’s seat, Cracked A/C control, missing seatbelt light cover, small water leak, some fading. Exterior : 5.5/10 Paint faded, Needs front bumper cover, Windshield needs replaced, Sunroof panel needs replaced, Passenger side fender dented from low speed side swipe, Usual dings and dents, No filler or rust, Moldings/trim ok some repainted. CA and FL car all its life. (See Pictures) Suspension/Underside : 8/10 Needs lower ball joints, and oil pan gasket (included) leaks a little, no rust. I hope I have covered everything, let me know if you need other pictures. Please ask questions before bidding. Title is in hand. An immediate deposit will be required.
