1991 BMW 318is 2 door. Manual 5 speed transmission. NON RUNNING VEHICLE. Clear Arkansas Title. Odometer does not work as of 2009. Odometer reads 183,800 miles. Vehicle driven very little since. This vehicle was purchased new by a family member. Car was put in storage around the year 2000. In 2003 I received the car. It was used as a second car. New A/C compressor in 2009. Several months ago it developed a major leak in the power steering. Had new hose replaced. Around the same time the car after running fine for days would not start. Engine turning over fine, but no indication of starting. Wait for a half a day or so, car would fire right up. Go for days running fine, then all of a sudden car would not start again. Started to do this cycle more frequently. It got to the point that when the car was on a flat surface it would run fine however, any incline the car would die. So, other than running the car on the salt flats, it was quite unreliable and I took the car in to a mechanic. After seven days in the shop including new fuel pump, some sort of new module, new injectors and $$$, the mechanic gave up. Mechanic told me he did not have the correct diagnostic tools. Not wanting to spend anymore on it, decided to sell. Confident there is some BMW guru out there that can get it going. All around a solid car. Never in an accident. No rust. Doors shut like it is a very solid car. No engine or transmission leaks. No burning of oil. Brakes are good. Tires have nice tread and although show no cracking are old (2003). No radio. Poor paint on roof and truck lid, front bumper covering damaged on passenger side, padded dash cracked and I guess the photos will show the rest. Contact me with any questions.
