Vehicle Detail

Up for bid is a 1971 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser full size wagon. It has the 455 with 2 barrel carb. I have owned this car for the last 5 years. Car is complete and pretty much original. Looks like front bench seat has been redone at one time, and the radio is missing. The engine and transmission are good. The car does have to be primed a few times to get going, but than runs strong. Transmission shifts good. Brake pedal is good. No blown brake lines. When I got the car I put a new starter and positive battery cable on. To tell you the truth I really havn't drove car much sense I have owned it. It has been outside the whole time and is getting pretty weathered. That is why I decided to sell it, to hopefully someone to restore it. These cars are getting very rare. When is the last time you seen one of these come up on Ebay? Especially these early model Custom Cruisers. Most of these "clamshell" wagons have made their demise in the demolition derbies. Now to the body of the car. The car does have rust. The worse of the rust seems to be on the roof lines on each side. Typical place for these cars to rust. Some rust under a couple of doors. Far from a total rust bucket. Floors and rockers look good. Fenders look good. It does have a few small dents here and there throughout the body. Looks like front bumper has been pushed in at some time. Power tailgate and window probably have issues. Tryed them once and they moved very slow. Also, I keep battery disconnected because there is a noise from tailgate motors, that will drain the batttery. Blower and heater controls seem to work. It does have heat. Back seats are cracked. Rest of interior Ok. Front end seems to be a little lose. Most likely needs a new center link. Have all hubcaps. Tires are not matching, and are very weathered. Would not suggest that car be driven long distance. I have a clear Iowa title. I have tryed to be as honest as possible with this car. I will be selling the car at a no reserve price. I am only asking a few hundred dollars above scrap price. Very fair for how rare these cars are. So here is your chance.
