I hate to part with this, but the time has come. . .I cannot take this with me and I don't have the heart to make it a daily driver or a screamer race car. This is a well cared for, low miles 1985 mazda Rx7 GSL-SE. My guess is that if you've read this far, you know a little about the car.My father bought this car off the lot and drove it sparingly throughout the years. The car has been garaged for most of its life, but not all. Its not flawless, but its pretty much as close as they come. You can see from the pictures that it is in great shape. We lived in Southeast Alaska so there were only a few months and a few roads to run the Rx7 -- hence the low miles. My father passed away a few years ago and the car was given to me. The car sat garaged for a year and a half before I could pick it up. My plan was to bring it up to spec and drive it for a while but I've realized I don't have the heart to make this my commuter.Window Sticker, repair manual and all other documentation is availableRecent updates:- Master and slave cylinder- Pads and rotors- All fluids flushed and changed- Optima Red top battery- Full Racing Beat exhaust (header to tailpipe) -- there are no other mods and I have the original exhaust. Air pump is in place.Known issues: Parts available at Black Dragon - recent relocation means I wont be fixing these- Stock radio hasn't worked for years -- this is a common problem -- although amazingly it works when its about 110 degrees outside.- Power antennae broke off years ago.- Hood "Mazda" has been missing for some time (15.00)- Needs new driver side rear marker lens (15.00)- Could use new door weather-stripping (80.00)The car runs perfectly, handles on a dime and behaves exactly the way a GSL-SE should. I've put about 3,000 miles on the car and haven't had any trouble. Money from the sale of this car will go directly towards a rally car I can abuse in my new location. This picture also shows a complete set of polyurethane bushings I never got around to installing. Current exhaust on the car is the Complete Racing Beat Street Port Exhaust System which is two years old. As you can see, the car is solid. I've also put a new alternator on the car as I was not entirely confident about the original. You can see the new one and a cleaned up engine in the last picture.
