Alright, this is round 3 for this truck on ebay. Please READ CAREFULLY what your bidding on and do your research, there are plenty of websites that go into great detail on the first generation Ford Lightning Pickup trucks, like NLOC.org and many others. The last 2 times listed on ebay the final price was $3150 each time, so i am offering a buy it now but also have a reserve for the minimum im willing to take for the truck which is under that price and when that price is met the buy it now will disappear and possibly bring more that the buy it now so if you want the truck, dont hesitate. The truck is open for inspection anytime so please make arrangements. So hopefully for the final time, up for auction is my 1995 Ford SVT lightning 1 of 824 built in black for that year, last of the first generation lightnings. The truck has 122,000 miles, and is all stock with the excpetion of the Cervini hood, K&N air filter, and minor timing and TPS adjustments. Its been a good truck when i was driving it, but it has not been driven since 2008 and been just sitting around. The truck needs work and had intended to do it at some point but i dont have the time, money or the space to do it so it must go. We bought the truck in September of 2000 and was used to drive to work for the most part, and has been to the track once since ive owned it. The outside of the truck is showing rust now the worst spot is the drivers side bed side. The drivers door is sagged abit and had door hing pins put in to help straighten it out but still needs some adjusting. The exhaust system from the converters back is off because there was a rattling inside the mufflers and had planned to put aftermarket on but never got to it., The rear fuel tank leaks when its over half a tank and the front fuel pump is bad. Also the A/C pump will have to have a new electric clutch put on for the A/C to work, the clutch was rusty from sitting and burn up when we ran it to move 3 years ago. The oil pan had some pin holes in it from being rusty so we cleaned it off and siliconed up the holes and it seems to be good now, hasnt leaked in a year since we did that. The speaker in the drivers side door didnt work and is out of the truck but i stll have it. The transmission shifts extreamly hard but was told that its an open circuit somewhere along the line from the PCM to the trans. The rear tires dont have much left on them and the bed is missing paint due to a small fire that was set in acouple of cardboard boxes i had in the bed at the time, other than cosmetic there was no other damage done. That is all that is wrong with the truck on the outside that I know of. The inside is in pretty good shape, the biggest problems that i know of is the crack in the passengers side dash pad and a small little hole in the headliner above the drivers head. To our knowledge this is all the issues with the truck and want to be as honest as possible, basically this is a used truck thats gonna need work but should make someone a good project. This was a daily driven truck in Illinois, in Illinois winters, so it does have wear on it, and is far from a show piece. The truck has a aftermarket JVC radio with cassette deck and a 10 disc changers behind the jump seat. I have the warranty card and owners manual but i never got the production number certificate when I bought it and didnt chase it down. The truck has been on a rear wheel dyno in this condition to check it out, and its HP ranged from mid 220's to mid 230's over 6 or 7 runs. I hate to get rid of the truck, it was always fun to drive, but like I said before, I dont have the time, money, or space to do it so i hate to see it rot into the ground so its going to the highest bidder with no reserve price. The truck starts and runs, it has been driven before listing it. The high bidder is buying a running truck that needs work. Any questions please ask before bidding.
