Vehicle Detail

Up for sale I have my 1987 Pontiac Trans Am GTA with about 20k miles on the rebuilt engine. I originally bought the car in 2002 with the intention of building it up and completely restoring it in my spare time. Well, my spare time has become more and more spare! Let me start by saying that the car needs some cosmetic work. That being said, I have already done a lot of mechanical work to it over the last several years. Engine- Rebuilt 5.7L 350 +.030" New flat top pistons and rings New roller rocker arms Comp extreme energy cam Edlebrock TES headers Edlebrock 3" Cat-back exhaust AS&M Semi Siamese intake runners Ported intake plenum Adjustable fuel pressure regulator Heated O2 sensor Aluminum radiator Hi torque mini starter New in-tank fuel pump and filter Chassis, Driveline, Transmission-700r4 Hi-stall torque converter Aluminum driveshaft B&M megashifter B&M shift kit Rear end rebuilt (Original gears) Tubular panhard bar Strut tower brace BMR New front rotors, calipers, pads, and flex lines As you can guess, the car is pretty quick. The exhaust sounds great and it drives straight and solid. The red interior is in pretty good shape. I have no stereo installed. It does have the usual cracked dash pad and torn seats. The exterior of the car is where the most attention is needed. Bodywork is not exactly my favorite thing in the world to do, which is why I focused so much on the mechanical aspects. The paint is faded in spots, there are some scratches, a few dents, and I removed the rear spoiler because it looks better without it than it did with the cracked and chipped rubber piece that was on it. Car will not pass emissions test if you are located in a state that requires. The car will need new tires. Also, I was going to get into burning my own PROM to take advantage of all of the aftermarket add-ons, but never did. All in all, the car is beautiful and will make an awesome project for someone who can devote a little more time and energy to it. Car is for sale locally. Seller reserves the right to end auction early.
