Vehicle Detail
When was the last time you saw a decent Phaeton for under 15k? It could be years before you see one again. Original steel fenders and body- nice solid car. My car runs great and was probably restored about 10 years ago- a real fun car. The last owner used the car quite regularly and thats why its in more of a driver condition at this point. It has been a summer cruise night car for me for the past few years. I didn't even clean it for the pictures and it still presents well. All I have done to it is added seat belts in the back for the kids but they can easily be removed. Looks very classy with the dual spares, cowl lights and trunk on back. You could part this car out and make more then my starting price! The Body: The car is a 10 footer and looks like a pebble beach car going down the road but paint has gotten chiped etc in some areas over time. I took some pictures of the tank where gas got on the paint and peeled it. The last owner also patched up the bottom of the tank as well. I have a nice fresh spare tank in primer to go with the car but never bothered to change it- functionally its been fine and the paint could just be touched up. The body had some wear marks, a dime size bump out on the hood from a broken fan belt and some touch ups on the black paint here and there- see pictures. Interior: The interior upholstery is nice and so is the top. The front mat is dirty and just needs to be cleaned up. You will be very happy with the upholstery. Just think, if you bought a project car this upholstery and top stuff would cost you thousands. I dont have side curtains but do have a top boot. Mechanicals: The cars runs good and stops well. I have no problems on my rides and dont worry about getting stuck anywhere. The radiator neck is broken and leaks a little but since its a non pressurized system its still usable. To be honest, it came this way and has been fine for years and I just havent bothered to take the radiator shroud off and braze the neck- really a simple fix. The car is very nice and very fun. I get crowds looking at it where ever I take it. It does need some work and has been discounted in price because of that. I paid more then my asking price and was offered 16 and 17k for it this past summer at our local cruise night but its off season here now and I know I will have to wait months before the local shows start back up and the car I want to buy will be long gone- my loss your gain. Comes with a spare engine block and head and a few other small spares. Selling the car where is as is. Come take a look if you would like. Payment must clear before car and paperwork is released. Full payment due within 7 days of auction close and pickup within 3 weeks. Deposit due within 48 hours. No out of country bidders. No trades considered unless your local, you have a very nice running driving 65-68 mustang fastback, or have a Boss or Shelby project 1970 or earlier. I have done the best I can to describe it- Its a nice driver and your best bet is to come look at it in person. This car is registered and insured in the state of CT and I can provide a transferrable registration and a bill of sale. Since CT is a non title state this paperwork should sufficient enough for you to title it in your own state after purchase. Come take a look- its a real decent car.
